Toshiba 50h82 convergence issue - Toshiba 50H82 50" Rear Projection Television

The tv have a problems known as a Convergence problems,it dead.The tv convergence board require it 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors to be replaced to solved convergence problems.The shop will cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.

Most of these hyperboard are inter changeable.But must Check the 2 STK convergence ICS munbers on the ICS parts have the same printed #---?

This set does not have a lamp. It has 3 crt tubes that converge to create a color picture. The convergance is off a little causeing this affect. Go into the menu and look for convergence or magic focus. You can download the owners manual from Toshiba website to do this. You will need the remote that came with the set.

This is a convergence issue, the stk392 ic's have failed on the convergence board, if you want to tackle this issue your self you will need soldering skills and a dvm. This is a common issue with all projection tv's.

You need to replace following ICs, may be 2 pieces in your tv for convergence problem.
IC, STK392-110T

Check fuses F850,F851,etc.......use STK394-160E upgrade
IC's.....save $.....Use Hitachi kit # X 480293.............Also,
solder wire jumpers on signal board........................T.

Don't worry about CRT ( Cathode Ray Tube)

Blue arching is convergence issue = needs STK392-110 IC's
replaced = requires chassis pull.........T.

color shadows on numbers or letters indicate a possible convergence problem.. might be a crt deflection problem.
