I have a Fridgidaire Front load Washer (Model # LTF70000ESO) that isn't draining properly during the rinse/spin cycle. My wife has been manually running it through a second spin cycle but, even this isn't getting the job done. I know what's wrong, (the pump strainer needs cleaning). My question is this, isn't there a way to get to the pump from the top of the unit? During the first time I cleaned this strainer I ended up taking the washer outside in order to get to the back of the unit. While doing this, I noticed a string/rope attached to the pump and tied to the top of the frame of the washer. This has got to be done this way for a reason, right??? Please help!! The mountain of clothes is growing higher by the day !!!!!
1. Unplug the washer 2. Pull the washer out to tilt it back so you can reach the screws below the front panel and remove it. (You will need something to catch the water once the hose is removed from the bottom of washer) 3. Loosen the bolt with the sliver clamp on the bottom of the washer. The water will begin to come out while your loosening the clamp. (Do not remove any GREEN clamps) 4. Once the water is out, you can stick your hand inside the hose to clean it out.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
It is possible that there is a drainage problem.
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and hopefully 'coverall' pre-typed guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

You are having a door switch problem change it out and you will have a new washing machine.
SOURCE: Clunking noise and vibration during final spin cycle
For all those who say they recently bought the machine, the cause of the machine "walking across the floor" and vibrating violently is the packaging bolts on the back of the machine that were supposed to be removed when the machine was installed (why it says remove packaging bolts in the installation manual). These packaging bolts hold the suspension steady and firm during shipping but MUST be removed before operating the machine. When these packaging bolts (I think there are four total, some up to 6 inches long penetrate the rear of the machine) are removed, they allow the suspesion to absorb the vibration.

This is a fault that resides within the motor control board. you will need to replace this failed module asap if possible. it has failed.

Usually this is due to either the drum support breaking or the back bearing being bad-neither easy to fix- or worth it. Try lifting the drum up and down, if it moves up and down they are bad. I see this a lot, and the price of repair isn't worth it. Craig
Not over use detergent, this can result in oversudsing in the
tub, and restricting the tub from turning properly.
That the drain hose is not too long.
That the drain hose is not restricted.
That the standpipe is not higher than 96" from the floor.
You may have defective timer or drain pump.
Also you might want to clean out the coin trap, filter trap, of the unit for extra security. This needs to be completed about every 6 months to prevent any issues.
1. Unplug the unit.
2. Tilt the unit up to where the front feet are in the air and
the back feet are still on the ground.
Please make sure the unit is propped up safely.
3. Now that the unit is propped up look inside on the bottom
right hand side there is a black looking accordion thing. This is the coin trap.
4. Clean the drum out with as much water as possible and have
towels ready. The next step you will
have the remaining water come out.
5. At the top of the coin trap where it is attached to the drum
is a silver spring with a silver screw.
Loosen the screw and wiggle the coin trap down from the drum.
5. Reach inside the coin trap and clean what is inside of it
out.
6. Put the unit back together following the same steps
backwards
