Can i reset my 32LG3000 without the remote control?
Make a hard reset to this set, and try again. To make it a hard reset, unplug the power cord from wall socket, and re-plug it into after 10 minutes or so. This must make it a hard reset. In most cases, this must help.

We had bought the extended warranty, so we took it back and got a new TV of a different brand. We had to pay the difference, but it was worth it. The warranty even carried over to the new TV.

Yes it's possible to use the USB port , you only have to change settings in TV setup to change it.
With software ver 3.15 it's very easy see link below how to change setup.
