My 42 inch HP plasma tv picture went out, it still has sound, do anyone know what can fix this?

I had the same problem today, Hp wanted $629+tax to fix. With a little mechanical ablity anyone can fix this.
1. remove back covers
2. left-hand side is the video board
3. two white fuses
4. replace

this fixed mine and they only cost $1.50 each

Hi there! Sounds like the Y-Sustain and/or Z-Sustain boards. This should be written on the boards. Check the fuses on these boards and if found to be blown try replacing with the same rating fuse and see what happens. If not successful then the boards will have to be replaced. You may have to also replace the control board if these come in a kit and not loose. Also check the voltages to these boards. The Power Supply also have a role to play in all this.
