Unfortunatly Outlook express has been fazed out of vista and replaced with windows mail.

Outlook express was included in ie6, if it is possible to download and install in vista then that is your best bet, but i think it's incompatible.

windows mail should do the same job though as it is essentially the same program

SOURCE: How to import Outlook Express mails to Windows

Open Outlook Express go to File then Export and proceed to what you want to export. Follow the instructions from there. You will need a flash drive or CD to save the files and move them.
Next go to Windows Mail, go to File then "Import".
Follow the instructions and you should be good!

SOURCE: How to import Outlook Express mails to Windows

Normal 0 Windows Visa has many features to import your old settings and files (your outlook exp) from your old computer to you new computer. The main program that comes with your Vista computer is called “Windows Easy Transfer”. You start this program on your new Vista computer by going to the “Start Menu”, “All Programs”, “Accessories”, “System Tools”, then “Windows Easy Transfer”. You will get a UAC message when you start the program but it will walk you through all the steps that are necessary to perform the file transfer. You will be able to transfer you files and settings in a few different ways. You can do it by network (privet [home] only), by USB cable, and by CD or DVD. The program was designed for users of all skill levels and you should have any problems with it.

Good luck,
Eryk V.

Outlook express is not available for Windows 7 or even Vista. You can't download it or run it on either of the two version of Windows. However you can install MS Office that includes Outlook on it or you may install a third party e-mail program or even better to use Windows Live Mail free programwhich is a part of the Windows Live Essentials.

How to download outlook express to send mails

You can't really download Outlook Express as it is part of Windows XP.
If it is not there, you can add it though the Add/Remove Programs option in the Control Panel. Select the Windows Components icon in the left-hand pane.

In Vista Outlook Express is replaced by Windows Mail, and in Windows 7 there is no email program, but you can download Windows Live Mail.

I Cannot access my old email on outlook express to my new computer with vista

Vista does not have Outlook Express. Instead, it uses Windows Mail. By default, Outlook Express downloads your email and saves them in .dbx files. If you still have access to your old computer, you can copy these .dbx files from the old computer to the new computer where you can then import them into Windows Mail.

Transfering mail setup from Windows xp to a windos vista machine with EasySuite

I'm not 100% sure about vista because I hate it but I can help you copy all of your outlook express data to a CD\DVD disk & your address book. Your network settings for express account is a phone call to your ISP.
If vista's explorer is set up like XP you should be able to copy your data into outlook express.
Open all these folders on you XP system.
User name\Application Data\Identities\{xxxxxxx}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
Copy the Outlook Express folder to your CD.
User name\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book. Copy Address Book folder.
Making sure you have everything.
Open, User name\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{xxxxxxx}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
Compair the two Outlook Express folder files. CD will not allow copy of same named folder.
If Vista's lay out is the same as XP than copy Outlook Express folder to Vista.
Suggest you have your current ISP setting /account setup before copying to Vista

Let me know if this works for you!
Good Luck & Kind Regards.
