The crosshairs broke

We were trying to fix the scope because dust got in the crosshairs and we thought the crosshairs where inbetween a glass pane so we tried to whipe it off and the crosshairs fell out.

My elevation and windage adjustments aren't moving my scope. I shot 4 times and my group is 1 inch. Problem is I adjusted my scope between all 4 shots. I'm consistently shooting 7 inches high and 3 inches...

This can only be due to a "broken" scope. To be sure, you can put your gun in a vice (cushion it) and put the crosshairs on a fixed point. Without moving the gun, crank the adjustment knobs a good 10-15 clicks in one direction each, and see if the crosshairs move from where you had them pointed.
If they do not, the scope must be replaced. If they do move, perhaps you should try adjusting the scope quite a bit more between shots.
The best way to sight it in requires a helper. Fire one shot with the crosshairs on the bullseye. Then, without reloading, put the crosshairs back on the bullseye, and have a friend adjust the knobs until the crosshairs move to the ACTUAL point of impact of that shot. It is essential NOT to move the gun while doing this.
This method allows me to sight any gun in with only 2 shots (and a few for confirmation, of course). Best of luck!

Swiss arms 4 x 40 reticle broken

I managed to fix a scope with a broke retical by replacing the wire with a piece of fine hair glued to the edges of the retical ring.

The scope must be disassembled taking care not to ruin the threads, scratch the glass, etc. It's easy to make a mistake and reverse the optics when reassembling, so take care to note the direction of the glass.

My retical was mounted on a metal ring, it was made of fine wire, and soldered onto the ring. I used a tiny drop of JB weld to glue the hair to the ring.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have looked for something finer than hair... And made a jig to clamp the hair before gluing.
(it took me several attempts to get it just right.)

Crosshairs broken on simmons scope

There are a few soultions to your problem.

for one the first thing you might want is your manual

now to fix the crosshairs.

Most manufacturers provide a mail in repair service. inorder to get into contact with these people,

There are also private repairmen / gunsmiths that will repair your scope. In order to locate one you really need to go to local shop and ask around if anyone knows some1. This can often be cheaper and faster than the manufacturer however more difficult to locate. Here is one i came accross you can contact on the phone or online and see what he has to say

NOTES

Crosshairs on pentax 4.5x14x42 don't move

With modern rifle scopes the crosshairs do not move. They are designed so that the crosshairs are always centered.I have not seen a scope with crosshairs that move for about 40 years. If your scope has 1/4 minute clicks, then the strike of the bullet moves 1/4 inch at 100 yards for every click.1 inch for 4 clicks and so on.If you rifle shoots 6 inches high at 100 yards you should turn it down 24 clicks to strike dead on.Many hunters and shooters adjust their scopes to strike 1 1/2 inches high at 100 yards. Then it will be accurate to about 300 yards without further adjustment.

NEED REPLACEMENT PART FOR TASCO 4X15 I NEED THE CROSSHAIR PIECE

im sorry but the price of that scope is not worth getting new crosshairs, you should just go get a new scope at walmart. they are like 9 bucks. But i myself would get a better scope, you can get decent ones for liek 60 bucks. Last a lifetime if you take care of them. The best scopes can cost 800 dollars on up. Just get a new scope. the part would coast more then the scope.
