Either the tuner or the video IF stage circuit of your TV is faulty. Tuner has no repair, can be replaced as a unit. If the fault is with video IF stage, it can be repaired. But, both the work is skilled one. You must have through knowledge in electronics, and work experience to do this work.

Since you are not using a set top box, you will probably only get channels up into the 70's, if available in your town, as most channels above this are digital, which analog cannot convert. As for the digital tuner, I have the same problen. It will not pick up any digital channels. Because of this, I have had to get a digital box(why in the hell should I have a digital tuner?) to recieve digital channels. I have the same tv you have, except a standard def. If you ever find out why your digital tuner won't work, I'd love to know myself. good luck, hope this helps.

You'll most likely need a Sansui remote made to work with your specific model TV. I have similar problems with my Toshiba TV. Check eBay.

There is a button under the bottom edge of the screen (with the controls) that has the options "Normal" and "CATV" - press this and it should solve your problem.
