1. Press Menu ? Messaging ? Messaging Settings
2. From the Messaging Settings page, press Predictive Text
Mode.
3. Select Off and press Save.
4. Press Menu ? Messaging ? Text ? Compose New
Message.
Press the Centre key Scroll to Messages, press "Select" Scroll
to Create message, press "Select" Scroll to the text input
field, press "Options" Scroll to Predictive text on or Predictive
text off, press "Select".

Just recently checked this post, but the answer for your question would be, to turn off predictive text input you just need to press the pound (#) key or number key twice quickly when you're writing a text message.

Predictive text (or T9) is usually turned off by holding * or # for few seconds, or you may need to go to message settings and turn it off there. What kind of phone are you using?
go to your messages... then choose message setting... look for default text input and just choose iTap (i think???) just play around with your message setting...
