Questions are welcome, but they must be reasonable. For example, how can you expect anybody to guess the UNIDENTIFIED Casio calculator you may have in mind? I know I can't. Sorry for my shortcomings.
It is very unlikely that anybody can help you if you do not give the make and model number of your calculator. Would you care to provide the necessary information?
Is there a question here? I have been using Casio Scientific Calculators for a very long while, and I have not found them to be particularly prone to develop screen problems. I believe it will greatly depend on the handling by the user. If one tosses a calculator around or make it drink water or soda pop, something bad is bound to happen to the calculator and particularly the screen , as it is the most fragile part. Would you believe it, if I told you that I have seen a question on FixYa where a user reported having washed an expensive calculator in a washing machine? It was a TI 84 Plus SE or a TI Nspire. Would anybody blame Texas Instruments?
I am sorry, but your `equation` does not make sense.Do you not see that the last part says that 7=21. Besides, to enable anybody to answer you question the make and model of the calculator must be specified. Sorry.
Make sure the batteries are in correctly? The batteries alternate negative/positive, positive/ negative and so on. The first time I put the batteries in, I didn't have them in correctly. I know if it happen to me that anybody could make the same mistake. And of course, the calculator will never come on if the batteries aren't in correctly. Next, pressing the [ON], and then [2nd] key followed by pressing and releasing the [Up Arrow] key. This will adjust the contrast in case the contrast was to low. Keep repeating [2nd] key followed by pressing and releasing the [Up Arrow] key for about 10 to 15 seconds. Watch the display real close while doing this process. Hopefully, the screen will come into view.
If the calculator comes on and your still having trouble, comment at this posting and, tell me what is happening. I'll respond quickly and, give you the reset procedures, if necessary.
If these procedures did not work comment this posting and, I'll tell you where you might get it fixed.
