Have had TV for 118 days, has always worked perfectly.
Today, I turned it on and it will only display a white screen. I've unplugged the power cord, cable, and all inputs and it still displays the white screen only.
Your reported symptoms are odd in that most failures are related to the primary power supply but that takes down both audio and video.
The backlight is obviously working (white screen) but it is no longer receiving any video information and this points to a failure of the logic (or the output of the power supply that services logic) used to control pixels on the screen.
Some screens have the majority of the control ICs actually mounted on the LCD assembly and because of very close pin distances used on dense ICs, they are often not replaceable by hand since they were installed by robotics.
I would first suspect (and hope for) the logic voltage output of the power supply to be the culprit.
If any of you posters have had a repair done and received any kind of a detailed report (you should), would you be kind enough to post it back as a comment to this original message?
Mainboard is out.
But, make sure output voltages are there. You will have to test it in 5 second intervals and after 3 tests remove power from unit (logic chip prevents more than 3 attempts without power reset) for 10 seconds and try obtaining voltages again 3 more times. Usually takes 5-7 on off cycles to get all the voltages.
I have pinned this problem down to either the main board or the wire ribbon going from the main board to the LCD. I have also been told that there is a recall on these particular TV's for the wire ribbon problem however i haven't found out anything for sure about that recall!
On the link below, the answer was given to one person about a different type of TV. My TV has been doing the same thing but these two incidences might be close to the same problem. I have yet to find someone who can repair the TV though, but if I do and that person says that was the problem I will make another comment letting you know. Course I may be wrong one saying that these two incidences on two different TVs are haveing the same problem, but I thought I would share this information to others as a just in case

Usually answered in minutes!
Exact same here. Have had tv for approx 180 days. Turned on yesterday and only white screen. But could still hear audio. I manage to get a picture ONCE since it happend by repeatedly pushing channel up/down and reset and powering tv on/off. Have not been able to get a picture since.
Would love there to be a solution but I'm afraid the answer is going to be costly repair.
