SOURCE: Frigidaire Washer stuck on pause
does the unit have standing water still in it.if so use a shop vac and attach it to the end of the drain hoseand removed all the water the check you drain pump for any kind of foriegn object that may be stopping the impellar wheel.the door lock may also be bad, the last but maybe the first thing is a bad control board

Hi.
You need to check the drain filter, which is directly connected to the pump. That is the place where you usually find blockage. The filter or coin trap is located inside the drum. See the schematic below:
If that is not enough, then the drain pump access is located in the front side of the machine, hidden behind the trim at the base. The kick panel is held to the washer's frame by screws:
After removing the panel you will Be able to access the pump. Have a container ready to collect water that will come out through the hose.
DISCONNECT POWER before starting the job.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Affinity keeps pausing mid cycle.
there is an access panel on the back of the unit. 6 screws and on the bottom is a rubber hose that comes from the tub. inside that rubber hose is a filter cup. i have the same unit and mine did the same thing. took it out pulled clog out put it back together. works like a charm. hard to get at but you can do it. use a drill with a phillips head to make it quicker. Also have pliers and a pair of channel locks. Good luck and it aint the Timer TRUST ME

Hello friend, thank you for your post!
I see that your Frigidaire washer, FAFW3517KW, is constantly showing you pause, when you press start it flashes the pause again, and that the door lock light does not come on. You could be seeing a couple of different possible reasons this is happening such as your control panel, door lock assembly, or door switch. Since it could be any of the underlying issues I would recommend having a professional come out to the home and repair the washer. -Matt
Hello Mary Fortner - It means that the washer has been paused; the cycle has been interrupted. Either the "Pause/Cancel" button or "Start/Pause" button has been pressed. To resume wash - press "Pause/Cancel" or "Start/Pause" once. If this does not prove to be successful please turn the breaker to the unit off for 5 minutes. Then turn the breaker back on to the unit, and retry the cycle setting again.
