lint is usually removed in the dryer. If you have lint on clothes after going through the wash, you probably left something in a pocket somewhere.

Hi gmallard, it doesn't have a lint collector. This machine is a piece of junk. We're going out today to buy a new one after years of brushing down our clothes with lint brushes. I'll put the Maytag in the shed to wash my dogs pillows etc. (about all it's good for)

try cleaning out your washers filter tray /skirt this should stop your troubles

If you have a regular tub/agitator machine you can fill 1/2 with water, add two cups of white vinegar & allow it to agitate but not empty. Give the machine a break to 'soak', then agitate again. Allow the vinegar-water to sit in the tub between rounds. Do this for the whole day (on weekend?) to give the machine a good cleaning. Often soaking in vinegar will loosen trapped debris so it can go down the drain. It will clean the machine very well even if it does not stop your lint problem. Sounds like there must be some part in the machine that got clogged w/ lint or that there is a hidden lint trap. Read the instruction booklet or try to contact the manufacturer via toll free phone or internet for troubleshooting on the problem. Good Luck!

Older clothes do not produce as much lint as new ones. Also, if your dryer isn't getting as hot as it used to, then you won't get as much lint either. Does it seem to take a bit longer to dry your clothes? Also, check your dryer vent, if the airflow is reduced, the amount of lint that is expelled through the filter will deminish as well. You may have a build up of lint in the vent ducting to the outside that is restricting airflow.
