All the lights are on, but the door lock. We have unplugged it, doesn't help. Our washer is the front load, model LTF 2140ES0.

This often is a drain hose that is too low or a drain hose that has been pushed too far down inside the stand pipe....the water is actually siphoning out of the washer. Do not "seal" the drain hose to the house plumbing pipe, this will also allow the water to be siphoned out.

I've had this happen before. Try unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for about five minutes. Plug in and try again.

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
There is likely to be a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(
If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Hello 2cats - First, is the drain pump making a humming noise? If so, the unit could possibly have a restriction in the drain line. Try setting the cycle to spin only and verify if water pumps out. Other possibilities could be a faulty door lock, timer, pump, or control board not communicating correctly. In this case I would contact a professional to move forward accurately to properly diagnose and repair the washer.
Hello sisterw - If only the normal cycle is not lighting up on the keypad but all the other options do, then the washer may be experiencing a wiring failure. Try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes. Restart the unit and if it proves to be ineffective contact a professional to move forward accurately to properly diagnose the control board as well.
