Hi, i have a panasonic lumix DMC-LS1 camera that i just purcahsed without the software. I can put photos into computer and view them fine....but i have taken videos today and cannot view them on windows media or nero...pleasehelp i would like to know how to view is there something online i can download for free? thanx :)

If you are missing the disc you might also be missing the user manual for your device, so besides downloading the software I suggest you also download the user manual:

Hi. The Panasonic software does not work on Mac.

Here is Panasonic full list of AV software.

Your camera will be automatically detected by the Mac, only instead of using Panasonic Simple Viewer Software (part of Pana Photo Suite), the Mac will ask you if you want to view pictures.

You will also find the camera detected on the Mac as an external disk,

Do you have a USB card reader? Just take the card from the camera, pop into the reader, and you can transfer your photos.
No drivers required unless using Windows 98 or earlier.

Also, the model is wrong, do you mean TZ5? You should be able download software for the camera from www.panasonic.com

You can still upload all photos to your computer without the specific software - Using your USB cable, wait until your computer registers the camera as a new device and you get a pop up.

connect your camera
open (my) computer
look for a hard drive icon that wasn't there before
click on it and inside there will be a folder with your jpegs in it
you can then view them with any software i.e windows photo gallery or if you are using a mac you can use front row.

Some SD cards have a tiny "write protect" switch on the side. Might you have knowcked that? I would try taking the card out & seeing if you have one.
