My PS2 will play my gta San Andreas but when you get to the mission mike toreno it starts freezing and says it loading and it just sits at that screen do I don't know if it's the PS2 or the game but it shoudn't be the game because it's not even a week old

Sounds like an issue with the laser.

try checking the game for scratches and fix accordingly...the system wouldnt hurt to be cleaned as well, just remember to use an air canister.
