Not like a high pitch bearing screech but If you open the lid it stops spinning very quickly I suspect bearing are failing... Are they replaceable
SOURCE: washer will not do final rinse or spin
Before the final rinse and/or spin can start the pump has to kick in. Tilt the machine back on an angle, on the right-hand side (closes to the front) is the pump motor. there will be 2 sets of wires, one green (earth), the other (brown and white), make sure they have not become loose.
I had exactly the same problem, I just unplugged the brown and white with needle nose pliers and squeeze the end (don't break it) & plugged it back in.
DISCONNECT FROM POWER before doing any of the above, good luck.
SOURCE: Our clothes washer has a bad screeching sound & loud spin cycle
screeching sound generally form a bad pump, which if didnt pump out correct amoun tof water would probalby send off balance more. unplug unit, ddrain out asmuch wateras possible and tip unit back, you will see the pump in the front right corner, there is a small plastic reles tab, after releasing it the pump simply twists out counter clockwise, perhaps ther is something in the pump/sump. you will see tis when oyou remove the pump, simply reinstalls the same way

It sounds like you need to re programme the
machine.
With the machine plugged into the wall and
turned on and the headset turned off this is what
you do.
Push and hold down the start button, while doing that you need to then push and hold down the power button.
Hold them down for about 5 seconds, during
which time you may a series of up to 3 beeps.
Then release the buttons.
Turn the machine off and then on again followed by the start button. Allow the machine to then run the complete cycle.
This should correct your problem, if this doesn't then you may need to then look at replacing the computer panels.
SOURCE: Noisey on spin
You will need special tools to put the main bearings back in as they need to go in straight and very very tight, to do seals and bearing will cost about $400 - $500 Sorry mate
