Sounds like the unit might be sudsing up too much or something is not allowing the sensors to operate and advance to the next cycle. Contact your purchasing dealer and have them come out since it is so new and under warranty.

most likely something is stuck in the pump. it could also be that you are not using high effiency detergent.

SOURCE: My model #gltr1670aso makes loud noises during spin cycle

Usually this is due to either the drum support breaking or the back bearing being bad-neither easy to fix- or worth it. Try lifting the drum up and down, if it moves up and down they are bad. I see this a lot, and the price of repair isn't worth it. Craig

SOURCE: ATF6000ES front load washer won't spin during regular cycle.

clogged filter will cause this error code. I have the same washer and the filter located inside the rubber boot attached to the pump was full of junk. there was enough room for water to get thru but not enough for full volume. clean it out and it should work. note : its a pain to get the boot back on so be ready and take it slow. this worked for me.

Inside the big flexible tube (coming from the tub bottom) is the filter, be prepared to find all sorts of junk here, clean out. You can pass it into a large plastic bag. Examine your pump also, clean out the impeller. Carefully refit all. Your machine would be fine. Don’t wait for the machine to jam to look into your filter.

What does Code 5ud for front load Kitchenaid washer mean?

This error code indicates excessive detergent suds occurred during the cycle. This could be caused by using too much detergent or not using High Efficiency (HE) detergent.
The washer will not be able to spin out water with the excess suds. When "Sud" or "Sd" is displayed, the washer automatically extends the rinse time to remove the excess suds. During this time, the washer pauses the tumbling and adds water for additional rinsing. This pause allows the bubbles in the suds to break. This pause and rinsing are necessary and may occur several times to eliminate the suds. This could significantly lengthen the time for your washer to complete the cycle.
If the problem continues, and the correct amount and correct type of detergent is being used, we suggest running a "Clean Washer" cycle to remove residual detergent that might have built up in the washer. Follow the instructions in your Owner's Manual for cleaning

What is the correct way to clean/sanitize washer?

call your parts store, there are tablets that you put in the washer and they clean it out.tide has tablets that work well,or you can run bleech through the washer, after every use you should wipe down the boot, open the door, spread the boot open and wipe it out, read you booklet,it will tell you what to do,also to much detergent will make it stinky and it will eat the spider gear.when the gear goes you will know, when it's in spin it will knock loudly and shake, time for a new washer,to much money to repair, you should be only using 1/4 cup of h.e. detergent and wipe down the boot after you use the washer

Need to know buttons to press to self clean.

Taken from the Use and Care guide:

To clean and freshen the washer, perform the System Clean Cycle. For best results use the System Clean Cycle once a month. To begin the cycle, press and hold the Spin Speed and Options buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds until the display changes to "CLn".

IMPORTANT
Items left in washer while performing the System Clean Cycle will cause a severe out-of-balance situation that could damage the washing machine.

REMOVE ALL ITEMS FROM WASH DRUM before filling the detergent chamber with one (1) cup of liquid chlorine bleach OR one (1) pouch of TIDE® WASHING MACHINE CLEANER. DO NOT use both. Press Start/Pause to begin.

If the System Clean Cycle is canceled or paused during the cycle, the washer will go through 2 rinse cycles to clean the drum of any residual bleach before unlocking the door.

Cheers!

I HAVE FRONT LOAD LG WASHER - CLOTHES ARE SMELLING -- CAN WE USE 2 CUPS CLR & RUN WASHER WITH NO CLOTHES TO CLEAN WASHER DRUM & DRAIN HOSES. IS THERE A BETTER SOLUTION TO PREVENT THIS PROBLEM

Here is a response I recently gave to a person posting a similar problem. You do not state your model number, so: If you have a tub clean cycle, use that, if not, use the longest, hottest cycle with no clothes and a front load washer cleaner like Ahfresh, Washer Cleaner, SmellyWasher Cleaner, Tide front load washer cleaner, or Whilaway hot tub cleaner. Clean the tub gasket area by the door and remove the filter and clean it out also before you run the clean cycle. You may have to run the cycle with a cleaner twice to remove all the built up soap scum inside the washer. Now, after the washer is clean, USE ONLY ONE TO A MAXIMUM OF TWO TABLESPOONS OF HE LAUNDRY DETERGENT PER CYCLE !!!! (and no more than one teaspoon of fabric softener per cycle, if you use it)

Comments: Jul 21, 2009- Well, with that model I'd guess you are in the UK, and I don't have parts breakdown or service info on those models, but I'd run the front load washer cleaner through it. Not sure which ones are available over there. You could check out http://www.smellywasher.com/ for one possiblity. The big thing is that these machines use very little water, and many of the newer soaps are 2x or 3x concentrated, so you have to use very little soap. (much much less than the soap manufacturers suggest) in order to rinse all the soap residue out of the clothes and prevent it from builing up in your washer and causing odors. (oh, by the way, that one cleaner I listed as Washer Cleaner is actually " Washer Magic ") 73b1c2a.jpg fb3071a.jpg

LG WM0642HW smells bad. We leave the door open when not in use to dry it out and air it out. But the smelliness is getting worse.

There have been lot's of reports of moldy door seals. Check your door seal at the bottom to see if it is holding water and not draining properly. Dry and clean with a bleach solution is it is. Front loaders don't always drain completely. WHen you start a new cycle the first thing they do is purge any water left from the previous one. This also causes a mold issue. Easiest solution is to do a stain cycle with presoak and add 2 cups of bleach to kill the mold. Obviously no clothes! Good luck!

Front loader smells like stale cigarettes during cycle

Make sure that you are using high efficiency (he) detergent. Pour 2 cups of vinegar in the tub and fill the detergent tray with vinegar. Run it on the hottest, longest cycle. You can also use a Front load cleaner such as Afresh, made by Whirpool. I think that Tide makes one too. Vinegar is usually readily available. At the end of washing for the day, leave the door to the washer slightly open so that fresh air can get in and dry it out keeping moldy, milduey smell down. If it mildews, use a rag and bleach water to clean the boot seal. Hope this helps.

Clear greasy stains appearing on clothes from brand new LG front loading washer

the grease i'm sure would be coming from the machine. look at the water solenoids, detergent dispenser, dispenser solenoids, everything with rubber hoses.

they do put a clear grease just to insert the hose easier in the plant. and if it was not removed during QC, then it would come out now as you uses it.

tnx 4 using fixya,

Disgusting odor

I had the same problem, except it wasn't just towels. It was everything. I did some research and found that this is a common problem and nothing a tech can fix. I was about to go out this weekend and spend $1000 on a new washer because I couldn't use this washer on my clothes anymore. I did one more search for a solution and THANK GOODNESS found a solution on another site. A woman had the same problem and, after much trouble, someone at Best Buy finally told her to never use liquid detergent in the machine, not even HE. So I cleaned the inside of my machine, around the door, the rubber seal, etc. I ran the tub clean cycle with bleach and vinegar. The smell was gone and I have been using powder Tide ever since, and the smell hasn't come back!!!!!
