My washer is just over one year old and will not spin fast enough to remove water from the clothes. I have checked the belt and that appears to be in good shape. I hear what sounds like pieces between the outer and inner drums, but am not sure how t get in to investigate. Any suggestions??
Although I had just cleaned the filter about 5 weeks ago, my wife had recently washed a pillow that came apart in the wash. I did not know this but noticed the clothes dripping wet after the high speed cycle. I was thinking it was the drain problem like I read in the post from bluefuzz. I pulled the filter and it was LOADED full. Before calling the repairman, CHECK YOUR FILTER! You won't need to disconnect any hoses.
I had a similar problem. The machine went through all the steps, except the last one of draining and spinning. There was a buzzing sound if I attempted to run the "drain and spin" step. The solution was to remove the front panel at the bottom, remove the two pipes hooked up with a metal round clasp, and check for blockage. I found a sock + some coins in there. I don't know how to sock managed to get there, but clearing that away fixed the problem. It seems that if the machine does not drain, it will not go into a fast spin cycle. So, check the draining capability first.
I had the problem where my Kenmore front load washer would not go into the fast spin. The repairman replaced the spin control unit and the motor with still no fast spin. He came this morning to replace the front control board and still nothing. He then decided to replace the door/lock unit and that is what did it. After about a month, now I am able to wash my clothes and not have to hang them up to drip dry enough for me to place them in the dryer. By the way, the manufacturer said that it was either the spin control unit or the front control board. I guess they will have to revise their fix for this problem.
If u hear stuff between the basket and drum its time to call a repair and get your check book thats a two man job that takes about two hours to completely rebuild with a new basket outter tub and pulley replacement. also u might check in the door the upper right hand corner theres a hose that goes into the drum take that off and feel in there sometimes stuff gets in there
