Missing manual I am trying to connect my dvd player to my Samsung slimfit television txt3093whxixaa. I have tried connecting a/v cable with the 3 colored wires to both. Is there a diagram for connections? Do I need a different cable? What settings does the tv need to be on and how do I get to them?

SOURCE: connecting VCR to TV

If you have the original remote controller, try to switch inputs. It must be on the f-connection ( coaxial) at the moment. You need to switch it to RCA or S-Video Inputs.

Samsung DVD-V3650 DVD Player / VCR Combo no sound when connected via component cable

Component connections between your DVD player and TV (they will be colored red, blue, and green) carry video only. You will need to connect two more cables for left and right audio channels. The connectors for these audio cables will be colored white and red for left and white respectively.

Dvd color mostly blue and pink, colors look weird

try connecting thru an hdmi cable from your dvd player to your tv, check the colors then.. I'd say you have crossed your component cables.. match the connector letters a/b/x? and plug them in one after each other.

How to tune up dvd player

  • Plug the power cable of the Samsung VHS/DVD player into an available power outlet near the television.

Connect a set of RCA audio and video cables to the color-coded outputs on the back of your Samsung VHS/DVD player. The colors of these cables are yellow (video), white (left audio) and red (right audio).

Take the other end of the RCA audio and video cables and connect them to the color-corresponding inputs on your television. When plugging in these cables, look for a label for the input, such as "Video 1" and "Audio 1." This will be important in Step 5.

Turn on the television and the Samsung VHS/DVD player.

Tune your television to the video input channel that you noted in Step 3. If you did not take note, you can also tune through your television's input channels until you find the one displaying the signal from the DVD/VCR player.

Insert a VHS tape or DVD into the Samsung player and press the "Play" button to verify that the unit is functioning properly.

Component Video

Plug the power cable of the Samsung VHS/DVD player into an available power outlet near the television.

Connect a set of component video cables to the color-coded outputs on the back of your Samsung VHS/DVD player. These cables will look similar to composite audio and video cables, but they are instead color-coded as red, blue and green.

Plug the other end of the component video cables into the color-corresponding inputs on your television. Take note of what input number you are plugging the cords into, as it will be useful later.

Connect a set of RCA audio cables to "Audio Out" jacks on your VHS/DVD player, then connect the other ends to your television. These cables are color-coded as red and white and must be plugged into the same input number as the component video cables.

Turn on the television and the Samsung VHS/DVD player.

Tune your television to the component video input channel where you connected the Samsung VHS/DVD player.

Insert a VHS or DVD into the Samsung player and press the "Play" button to verify that the unit is functioning properly.

Lost Owners manual and cannot connect our present DVd player to TV. Can you provide an owners manual or tell me what we must do to connect the player to the TV?

Make sure you are connecting it using a composite cable (red white yellow) into the INPUT behind the tv.. they are also inputs on the side of the tv.. if problem continues try buying a new dvd player that has HDMI connections so it would use just one cable to connect... they for for around 50 bucks... here is the manual http://tv.manualsonline.com/np/usermanuals/mfg/samsung/ln32c350__flatscreen_tv

How to connect samsung dvd to samsung tv

Follow these steps: Component Video Connection 1. Get a component video cable. This cable has 3 sets of connectors, one each for the red, blue and green color signals.
2 Match the connectors to the appropriate video output jacks on the DVD player. Component video outputs will normally be labeled Cr/Cb/Cy. The Cy output jack is matched to green, Cr to red and Cb to blue.
3 Run the cable from DVD player to the TV. Most TV connections are made from the back panel, but this may vary.
4 Match the connectors to the appropriate video input jacks on the TV.
If using S-Video Connection
1 Get an S-video cable. This cable has a single round connector with 4 pins.
2 Attach one end of the S-video cable to the S-video output jack on the DVD player.
3 Attach the other end to the S-video input jack on the TV.
Composite Video Connection 1 Get a composite video cable. These types of cables are frequently bundled with two-channel audio cables. Composite video cables are tipped with yellow plugs.
2 Plug one end of the composite video cable into the composite video output jack on your DVD player.
3 Plug the other end into the composite video input jack on your TV.
