I have bought a new Toshiba 15"LCD television (15VL63) and a new playstation 2. I have set up the TV and it has a good picture. I connected the PS2 and it plays dvds fine, but flickers really badly when playing the playstation games. (PS2 games play a little bit better than PS1 games) I connected the PS2 to another TV (not LCD) and it works fine. I have tried configuring the screen but it made no difference. I feel that it is something to do with the flat screen but dont know what the problem is. Please can anyone suggest what I could do to solve the problem. Thanks.
I don't think it's a configuration problem at all. I do think that the set is not adjusting to the correct format. Most Stores have 30 day return policy. If it's over 30 days then they may not take it back. If you bought it online, then, the return may be difficult. If the return is not possible, then, contact Toshiba online and find a local Toshiba authorized servicer in your area. Hope this helps.
I had a similar problem show up for my Olevia 65" HDTV. I solved it by putting my TV into "game" mode, where it doesn't do any picture correction. Now the game works just fine.

Thanks you have been very helpful.
I can turn on the tv at the top of the screen as the remote does not appear to be functioning properly. Can watch dvds no problem just no tv picture or sound.
