Ive got a rheem tankless water heater less than a year 4 days ago had power failure now the heater wont come on remote does not work and keeps blowing 3 amp fuses
Not for sure what your root cause was and I know it's a little late but I just suffered this same exact scenario on the same water heater. Storms came through, power went out, power came back on and the water heater keeps blowing the 3 amp fuses now. I removed all the cables and plugged them back in one at a time. When I plugged in the Fan Motor connector the fuses blew. Installed new fuses with the connector out, the Fan Motor was putting out 150 VDC through the connector port (on main control). I pulled the control from the unit and Q1 is visible blown and disintegrated on the control board. Obvious control design issue. I've ordered a new control and will put a surge protector on the heater now when the new control comes in. Very disappointed that this was not caught in controls testing within the manufacturers facility. New control is not very cheap. Half the cost of a new Heater. Hopefully the Fan Motor survived the high voltage with the fuses blowing. I'm putting this here for anyone else that suffers the same issue on this water heater or the Richmond equivalents as they use the same control.
Try disconnecting ignitor leads if then ok replace

They might ask you to contact the installer. If you installed it yourself ... well that is problematic. For example if vent condensation drain was not installed correctly, the condensation can drip down into the unit causing acidic water that will shorten life of heat exchanger.
Make sure there is affordable qualified service in your area before buying tankless water heater.

Don't forget to keep up with yearly maintenance, and tankless cannot be exposed to more than 11 grains hardness in water.

And if you need a service manual for your Rheem tankless, well that is problematic since Rheem does not have service manuals ... might try reading Bosch or Bradford white service manuals.

the system was not sized properly, you need to have a 3/4 gas line to the unit for the volume of gas it needs, the tankless water heaters need to have every bit of gas that is says, it sounds like who ever installed di not make sure you had enough gas comming in the house, you might have to either have a new meter installed or run the gas lind directly from the meter to the water heater and cap off the gas line thats there

This is there website.Above.
Use the live chat to ask them, the code you listed does not seem to correspond to there code list, the only code that does is code 76,
which is a problem with the remote control not talking to the unit.
So your best bet is to tell them the error.
If this is a new board and Altidude chip with power on set dip switch 1 and 2 to on. Then press and hold adjust button until on board blinks fast then and you will see dashes on LCD display. Set dip switches 1 and 2 back to off. Turn on remote unit and you should see 100F. With any luck you are good to go.

Flashing code 76 is lost communication between the remote and the burner control assembly CCA (circuit card assembly). The CCA is still under warranty if purchased within the last 3 yrs. Contact Rheem customer service and have your Mod. and S/N available....explain to the agent you are recieving - flashing code 76...they'll walk you through the process.
