Ming A1200 Phonebook Problem - Fail to load/delete
In the phonebook, I created a couple of categories. However, sometimes, when I add a new contact, something goes wrong with the category --- When i go to that category, there are NO contacts visible. When I go back to "All Contacts", all of my contacts are still there. Then, when I try to DELETE that category, it says: "Delete category fail!"
Not only that.. but some of my contacts are messed up now. If i click on a certain contact in my phonebook, it says: "Failed to load contact from phone."
When that person calls me, the name and everything shows up though. When i try to delete that contact, it says: "Delete contact fail!"
I really want to fix this so that my categories and my contacts don't mess up. I have 3 categories I can't delete + about 6 contacts that i can't load/delete
Anyone have any idea on how to fix all this? Thanks for your time!

With my HTC phone, when I say the key sentence to call one of my favourite contacts (for example, call first contact), my SuperTooth HD says "not in phonebook": You must create your favourite contacts in the phonebook of the SIM card, not in the phonebook of your HTC phone. Once you have created your favourite contacts in the phonebook of the SIM card, please refresh the phonebook of your SuperTooth HD or do the pairing again as indicated below.
This happens when two or more similar (saving one number with different names) contacts is saved on your phonebook, i.e. if you've saved my number on the sim card with a name and at the same time you have my number (same number) on your phone's memory, the caller id will not be displayed, you'll only see the "Incoming Call" or "Call". So I would suggest you to please check the phonebook and delete (keep only one per number) if there are multiple similar contacts saved on your phonebook.
You can also reset the phone to Factory default, in case there's no problem with your phonebook/contacts.
unfortunately in samsung j700...doesn't provide the facility u mentioned but it allows user to assign particular ringtone and callerid for some group of contacts... the group may have 1 or more contacts so saving each contacts in each seperate group may indirectly met ur requirement
By creating groups of contacts, you can assign ringtones and caller ID photos to each group or send messages and emails to an entire group. Start by creating a group: 1. In Idle mode, press <Menu> → Phonebook → Group → <Options> → Add. 2. Enter a group name and scroll down. 3. To set the caller ID image, press the Centre key → an image category → an image. 4. To set a group ringtone, scroll down and press the Centre key → a ringtone category → a ringtone. 5. Press <Save>.
