First... all audio must be either mp3 or wav files...... to drag and drop... but great news that little disc you got with your mp3 player has a converter on it.... open program once you download it and click the add tab... find your music(or movie or pics)and add those (dont drag) and then "convert" them its an all in one proses-- converts and uploads them to your mp3 player... remember to safley remove hardware( in ur bottom right toolbar) and presto--- you are a tech savvy mp3 having kind of person...... enjoy

You can download music for the GoGear from any reputable website, iTunes. it is just a case of plugging in the USB cable, go to My Computer and Look for the Philips Removable Drive.
open it up, go to the Music Folder and add your MP3 songs.
To add videos to this player you need to use the software Philips provided. It's a bit complicated to use so follow the instructions carefully. The software will convert the videos to a Philips format to enable you to add them to the Video Folder. You can't just add a file as this will not work, it needs to be converted.
Hope this helps you.
You have to convert the file from an aspple/aac audio file to an mp3 file. The easiest way to do this is to download a free audio/video converter like format factory from download.com, and you can easily convert the files to mp3's very quickly. You also have to be sure that your apple tracks are DRM free.
First try opening the gogear device and click on music right after the welcome screen. Select either "All Songs", "Artists" or "Albums" to find your songs. If you downloaded your songs, they should display on the screen of philips gogear, then you can select them to play on your headphones
Only some audio formats (.mp3 .wav and .wma will be play on philips gogear SA 3020/37)
there is a buten on the top when you have a song u want on it push it and it'll say add to play list or cancel when you add it you go to main songs and click playlist
You can call Philips and register the product with them.
This GoGear is not compatible with iTunes.
You will need to use a converter like Media Monkey to convert those iTunes songs (AAC) format into mp3 format (but it will only convert the unprotected songs).
Then you can use Windows Media Player to transfer the songs to your GoGear.
