The board will be hard to locate but run between 80- 150 if you can find them. However your symptom is most likley cause by one of the Transformers. Which you can get replacement transformers from www.tvrepairworld.com send them a email from their website by hitting the contact button on the right side.

Hello, I can assure you it is the inverter board on this unit. The T-CON board (controller) will only mess with your picture in different ways but you the way you describe the symptoms it is for sure your inverter board. The harders part wil be to find some, you should probably look in www.shopjimmy.com, or www.invertercentral.com.

Sounds like a bad inverter thats what powers up the backlights so you can see the picture on the screen. usually its about 85% of the times the inverter if you have pefect audio and remote functions but a black screen in a LCD modeel TV. You can get the inverter board from www.tvrepairworld.com

hi,
Is there is any light in the screen at the time picture gose. If not, then Backlight inverter is faulty. All lcd tv have backlight to light the pixels. If you watch the screen very near then you will be able to see image on the screen. First of all check is there is any budged capacitors in the power supply. If there then replace it will solve the problem. If no then check the inverter board. Do on thing check the fuse in the inverter board. If the fuse is faulty then replace it. If the fuse blews again then the inverter board is short you have to replace invereter baord. It is not possible to repair the backlight inverter. You have to replace the board with a new one.Have added the picture of inverter board and budge capacitor for your reference. If you need any more assistance feel free to contact me by Fixya.

My Westinghouse SK-32H540S pictures shuts off after 10 seconds. the sound stays on but no picture. is it the troubleshoot? i tried unpluging everything and repluging it and still the same thing happens...

This problems are the tv 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards are dead.These 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards provide the tv LCD screen pannel a backlight to produce a picture.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy those refurbishes 1 or 2 long LCD inverter boards for the replacement.

The two most probable failures is the backlight for the display or the inverter that powers it, If the ends of the fluorescent backlight tube are exposed, check if the ends are black. If not, then the inverter is probably bad.
These are mounted on separate smaller boards that are pretty obviously connected to the backlight tubes.

Screen blacks out on certain channels randomly..doesn't happen all the time audio still works the picture just goes completely black for a bout a second then reappears.. very annoying.it's new and it also...

Screen goes black but still sound

This is inverter or backlighting problem. Can you try switching it on and off quickly for a couple of times and tell me if these '2 seconds' get any longer'. If picture stays longer and longer before shutting down, one lamp needs replaced-if not, please replace inverter board

No picture but has sound

Could be whats called the backlight inverter. Mine did the same exact thing. Ordered a new inverter and works fine now. i'm not a very techy person, but was able to remove and install myself! Got one at the link below...not cheap though..sorry.
