Thank for contacting Fixya, I will be glad to assist you.

What you can do, in order to resolve this issue, is start by resetting your iPhone 3G.
(Note: this does not remove any settings, data or media you have installed in your device)
• To perform a hard reset, press and hold your Sleep and Home Menu buttons for approximately 10 seconds.
• Once your screen goes black, release both keys. (If you see a white Apple logo before you release the keys you have held the keys to long and will need to start the reset process once again)
• The next screens you should see after the black screen, is the Apple logo screen followed by the main screen.

• This hard reset process should help bring your iPhone 3G back to normal functionality.

It would also be advisable to connect your iPhone 3G via its docking cable and provided wall socket adapter into a working wall socket in order to try and charge it.

If your iPhone 3G still does not charge, try connecting it with the docking cable to your computer or laptop to observe if it will take a charge then.

Should this process also not affect the way the iPhone charges, then you should look into using or purchasing another iPhone docking cable, as the cable itself may not be functional and needs to be replaced.

Docking cables for iPhones are fairly inexpensive (Under $20) and can be found in most electronics/computer stores that carry Apple products and accessories.

Finally, if a replacement docking cable does not help the iPhone 3G charge, this may be a hardware issue and you would be advised to take the iPhone 3G in to your local Apple retail store or Apple Authorized Service Provider in your area.

Hold down c key wont boot from disk

If your OS disk is a DVD, and you have a CD-ROM installed, it's unreadable by the internal drive. You'll need to get an external Firewire DVD drive. Connect it, make sure it has power, then hold down the option key when you turn on the iMac. You may have to wait a bit for the DVD to read out, but you should see the DVD icon show up on the display. Select it (you may need to use the arrow keys), then press return to boot from that drive.
A flashing question mark with no readable optical disk installed says either the operating system on the hard drive is corrupted or the hard drive is bad.

Usb not recognized on macintosh powerbook g3

The Powerbook G3 will be using the original USB architecture and I suspect that your flash drives are using USB 2 and are not backwards compatible, so sorry I don't really think it is possible.

You Could Try To Reset It .
You Will NOT Lose Anything Doing This.
Hold The Home And Lock Button At The Same Time.
And After Holding For Awhile An Apple Symboll Will Appear And Your Phone Will Turn On .
Otherwise You Will Just Have To Wait Untill You Get Your Computer Back Dear .

If it turns on and you get a gray or blue screen with an Apple symbol and a rotating circle - your hard drive it shot and you need to get a new one.

G3 Doesn't power up

Hi,
I,d check that the laptop isn,t in Standby or powersave Mode.
Check the Ram, and re-seat if necessary.
Try the laptop without The Battery.
