Sound and picture work on all input types (HDMI/composite/...), just with the addition of color horizontal "snow" which is appreciable bad. The set was manufactured in 2008 and was purchased at Costco. It has been a very nice set up until a few days ago. Any suggestions on what needs swapped?
Can you post a picture that shows what snow issue is that youre experiencing that would help with diagnosis

You should have a 1 year warranty from Sony. Call them before it expires. This is probably a LCD panel issue.

Try different cable, if you still get the problem after replacing cables, then you have a defective sygnal board (input board).

Chances are you have a BU Board that has failed. The only way to know for sure is to get a Qualified Service Person out to verify the symptom.

There is a problem with the processor. The only way to resolve this issue is to replace the main board. It is called the A board in your TV.
There are two for this model and the correct one will depend on what your serial number is.
