it should be on the bottom where the kick plate is and will be a round piece that you turn and remove
SOURCE: change filter?
filter is in kickplate under freezer door and it should turn counter clockwise then pull straight out then replace please rate me
SOURCE: no water flow to the ice maker
Here's a kinda clumsy solution: I had a similar problem--for several years I'd manually pour in just enough water to fill the spaces. Sometimes the ice maker would then start to work again for a couple of weeks. We have hard water, so I assume it's a problem related to minerals building up somewhere.
Anyway, most recently, I had some cubes frozen in the bottom of the drawer so grabbed the drawer and pounded it in and out a couple of times, bumping it onto the back wall a couple of times. Voila, the maker started making cubes. Now every time I get cubes, I first pull out the drawer halfway and then shove it against the back wall. ...seems to work--the drawer is always filled to the brim no matter how much ice I take. It's been a couple of months now so seems to be working...
SOURCE: compressor runs continuously, and center bar (heat dissipator) is extremely hot to touch.
Molly, The hot bar is a normal part of the sealed system (compressor) operation. The relay they told you about is on the back of the compressor and I would not recommend you changing that. The refrigerator is a balanced system, the freezer air removes the heat from the refrigerator side. If the compressor runs all the time, look for food close to the edge and not letting the doors close completely. Move items back. Don't over pack the freezer, the air must circulate. The refrigerator of today runs longer and uses less power that the old refrigerator. If you are still having issues with this model call a authorized Kitchen repair person in you area and ask how much they charge to come to your house and give an estimate.
