I have a Hannspree 28 Inch Lcd Tv that has no picture with white screen. I checked all voltages coming from power supply. They are correct with two 12 volts and two 5.3 volts. I have changed the main board and have the same white screen. Then today I installed a new T-Con board and have the same result. I checked the voltage on the T-Con board and it is indeed 12 volts. Even checked the fuse. The only difference is with the old T-Con board I had a white screen with two lines in the picture. Now with the new T-Con board I have a pure white screen with no lines. Doesn't matter which main board I use I get the same result. Only difference is in the T-Con board. The T-Con came from ShopJimmy.Com. Is it possible that I still have a bad T-Con board? Please can someone help me? This TV is about 16 months old and this is bull ****. I will never buy anything again that is Hannspree. Please e-mail at [email protected]

You should check the 12 volts capacitors on your power supply for dry or leaky, bulging conditions.
Replacing those capacitors will restore the functionality of your TV.

Probley got a week capacitor in the 12 volt supply, but without even a make or model number your guess is as good as mine

Yeah if you don't have any power at all, no lights or anything its the power supply.

Could be a dead backlight or inverter board. I would try the power supply as it isn't that expensive. I would buy the power supply from whoever has the best return policy. Best Buy might take it back with no questions asked. This way, if it is not the power supply, you can return it.

Well the only board left to replace is the LCD Controller board (TCon Board) so that must be it.
I think you will find that the cheaper models of LCD tv's are not worth the trouble of fixing. The cost of new parts are almost as much as a new tv. Better off to go with a quality name brand like Sony who has excellent customer support and get a good warranty so you can exchange it if it gives you any trouble. LCD tvs are VERY succeptible to circuit board failures due to overheating and electrical power supply variations, and the cheaper the brand of tv, the more likely it is to fail prematurely. Anyway good luck and please comment back and rate if this was helpful at all.

Where is the Chroma section located at? Remember I have changed both the main board and the T-Con board. Only thing that changed was when the tv was turned on twice I had two lines on the old T-Con board and none with the new T-Con board. Still both gave a white screen.
I've used my model HSG1075 almost non-stop for over 3 years now (on day and night 24-7) and never had a problem with this TV. Its great and has an excellent picture in 1080P using BellTV boxes.
Why didn't you just return it versus replacing internal parts in the first place???
