My kodak 5210 esp printer is flagging the printhead cartridge carrier is jammed, how can i resolve?

Code 3527 - printhead carriage jam. I have managed to open the casing, remove cartridges, remove cartridge holder and depress a square ink pad which then allows the carrier to move, but once I reassemble and press ok it goes back into its left locked position. Any ideas? Kodak says they can repair but I cannot afford this.

SOURCE: Kodak i40 Scanner - paper jamming

First clean with a damp cloth, then try Isopropyl Alcohol. Dont use solvents. Check if papers are sticky. Stapled papers are 'sticky' even after removing staples. loosen them if required. Notmally rollers last 200,000 to 250,000 scans

SOURCE: red and green lines through prints from a kodak

clean the scanner with anti static wipes and vacuum clean the scanner, if this does not work then call the kodak techs again and they can send a cleaning kit or a replacement scanner. the lines are caused by dust in the scanner

SOURCE: Kodak ESP 3250. Error 3527. I put new ink

Contact Kodak. I think it's the batch of printers that were made around this time. I just contacted them (mine is the same age and I'm getting the same error), and they are sending me a new printer.

SOURCE: I have an E 6

The error is the ultrasonic sensor thinking it is blocked , there are 2 sensors one on each half of the transport small round grills approx 8 mm in diameter in the center just after the feed rollers if cleaning these doesnt help they are probably faulty and will need to be replaced , cleaning with compressed air can damage the sensors as they are quite fragile lightly blowing or carefully vacuuming is the best way

Printhead carriage jam

It all depends on who made the product. There are often times simple solutions but they need to be found by searching on the web and talking to service people about the unit. Some print head motors were known to fail or develop bearing noise over time in the HP line. Many of these things are really not prone to be fixed as the repair cost is sometimes the same as a new unit.
I would contact the warranty center- even if out of warranty and see if you could talk to a technician to start.

Clearing Code 3527 from Kodak Hero 9.1

Hi friends,
I was able to solve this problem (error code 3527 on Kodak hero 9.1) by opening the printer entirely (dis-assembled), Checking the cartridge carriage assembly, i discovered that the belt that drive carriage assembly had a locker that was broken as such, the carriage assembly could not move in the direction as the motor drives the belt on.
I simply inserted the belt in position and drop a little drop of super glue to it, let it dry off.
Assemble my printer, and it was ok and is working.

Code 3527 Printhead carriage jam on Kodak ESP 5210 All in one

the only thing i can think off is there is a problem with the head sensor, the heads move back and forth on a rigid belt but the head case also runs along a see through plastic strip, this has lines in it and tells the printer were it is, other thing i can think of is the head cleaner, they can get stuck in them sometimes and cause misalignment and damage the reader. also anything they like to use on printers is a inc use chip that can make faults come up so you have to buy a new printer. this has been in a few articles. business printers don't have this feature. hope this helps

Printhead cartridge jam code 3527

Contated Kodak about the error code 3527 and was advised I needed to purchase another printer and they would give me a 30% discount. Why would I do that when my Kodak printer is only 14 months old! My Dell is 9 years old and works fine! Dell ink cartrides are expensive and can only be ordered online. That is why I switched to Kodak. Do not buy Kodak!

Kodak 9250 problem error code 3527 cartridge jam. i fixed paper jam and reset this by unplugging machine touching okay and problem persites. Thanks Dan

Hello. I have this problem with my current printer, esp 9250. I don't know how you resolved it but I contacted Kodak via livechat (on their website) and the person told me I had to get a new printer. I couldn't get a new printhead because she said it didn't move to the center when i opened the cover, so that means the printer hardware is broken. Needless to say, I am frustrated. I asked her if Kodak would lessen my cost by sending me a coupon or ANYTHING, and she said sorry but no. So yeah. Basically you just gotta get a new printer... :(

Paper jam press ok to fix-then I get error code 3820

To resolve this error:
  1. Open the printer access door.
  2. Disconnect the power adapter from the printer.
  3. Gently hold both sides of the carriage, located immediately behind the printhead, and make sure the carriage moves freely.
  4. Remove the printhead and ink cartridges.
  5. Reinstall the printhead and ink cartridges, making sure each clicks into place.
  6. Connect the power adapter to the printer.
  7. Turn the printer on, if necessary.
  8. Close the printer access door.

If the error continues, contact Kodak.
