My dad took my phone to use and i guess he didnt need it so he put it in his backpack. Then he said he left the backpack outside by the door and it was slightly rainning. So i think water got on the screen of my phone. then when he remeberd where he put the phone, he got it turned it on and the screen was acting wierd and the phone had dis-coloration problems. So he turned it off to let it reboot but when he gave it to me, i tried to turn it on but the phones batery was all gone. Later i got my charger and charged it to about full batery but the scree is working. Is there a way i can open or separate the screen form the keypad to try and fix it? or should i replace the phone? please help!

Most likely, what has happened is that the camera charger, even though it fits, puts out different voltage and amperage than the motorola charger. You've either (hopefully) just damaged the battery, or the phone itself has become damaged. I think Verizon, or Suncom also has phones with that same battery. I would recommend trying one before buying it. If it works, great... if not, you'll need to either have the phone professionally repaired, or replaced because it most likely fried the power relay circuitry in the phone. Unlikely that your problem is software though.

well dude i have the same problem
but i can tell u something good =)
my phone had been turnin on and off completely ffor the longest
and i called tmo last night and they said had i tried other battery yes i have...

if u have warranty like i did then they will do an exchange on the phone as long as u dnt have a broken LCD
im pretty sure u dnt
so just call tmo with another phone(the number is 611 incase u didnt know)
and just get over to the pda department and there u go a new phone free of charge within 7 business days

If water penetrated inside the LCD display , then the display must be replaced. Moreover, the liquid may have shorted some component , and in that case there is more repair job to be done.
All you can do is removing external covers if possible, and drying the phone a little longer If the phone does not come up after one week, then repair or replace it.

under warranty will not count on liquid damage if you take the battery out you will see a red dot that tells you water damage i have dried out some mobiles take out battery and sim leave on warm radiator couple of days then try again if still the same then it spares cost way too much to put right needs mother board ,and connectors hope this helps
