It has a parking brake wire......usually pink. Will say on it what it is.....If you want to bypass it, just ground it to the stereo itself.....after grounding it, it will show picture.....safety feature so you're not driving and watching a movie at the same time
toggle switch. attach the wire (thats supposed to go to the ebrake) from the radio to the switch. then a wire from the switch to ground. on my jensen, you need to turn the switch to off for 5 seconds then on and the screen should show your video just fine.
Clarify please-does the screen show "Audio Only" when a DVD is inserted? If so, this is because the parking brake lead is not set up to work. Normally, the green lead connects to the parking brake negative on the car. This means you don't get video unless the parking brake is set. To bypass this, you need to wire the green parking brake lead to one terminal on a toggle switch, then you run a wire from the radio ground lead to the other terminal. toggle the switch up and down and you should have video. You can get a pretty small toggle switch and mount it in a concealed place.
This is by no means advocating watching video while driving!!!!
The security device was created to avoid you from watching DVD's while driving. It is simple to bypass. Simply take the parking brake wire (blue/yellow stripe wire) and connect it to the a ground wire (all black wire). This will trick the DVD player into thinking that the car is in park with the parking brake on at all times.
