How to enable "Bravia Sync" on KDL-40V2500

I understand that Bravia Sync is a feature of the V series, including the KDL-40V2500. Supposedly it allows me to control my Sony AV receiver power & volume using my TV remote when the two are connected via HDMI. They are connected by HDMI and "Bravia Sync" is enabled on my AV receiver. But I can't find anywhere to enable Bravia Sync on the TV. Any hint on where to find that?

I have a Sony Bravia KDL 40V2500. When I turn it on it powers on but the screen is black. Any ideas why or solutions?

Back light inverters. Is got two one is the master and the other is the slave. If you check ther should be burning marks. They need to be replace eather one.

Sony Bravia KDL-40W4500 turns off

This can indicate a problem with the high voltage circuits. Since this is a new set, it should still be under warranty. DO NOT open up the unit as that will void the warranty. Return the set or request warranty service. Note the 8 blinks when you request service as that should allow them to bring the correct replacement parts.

Keep us posted.

Have a new Sony Bravia KDL-40W500 keeps turning off into standby mode with 8 flashes.

Hello,

There is some confusion on the model (KDL-40W500 vs. KDL-40V2500), so I will direct this toward the 40V2500.

On the KDL-40V2500, an 8X blink means the scan processer has gone bad, and the BU board needs to be replaced. If the problem is intermittent, the the AU board might be the problem, but if it all the time, bank on the BU.

A competent repair shop should be able to help you, or you can try calling Sony directly for assitance.

Hope this helps you...
