I accidentally cut the cord leading to the left speaker of my Skullcandy lowriders with a pair of scissors. I've tried to splice the wires but the innards are different from what I've seen. There are two separate 'clusters' of wires, one cluster is red, the other is gold, and then they're separated by a plastic 'shield' molded right around the wires. I attempted to connect the gold with gold and red with red but it didn't work, so I assumed that it was because the red and gold were touching somehow but no matter what I did it wouldn't work.
Anyway, any idea on how to repair a clean cut Skullcandy cord? I really miss these expensive headphones.
I have the exact same problem . did you happen to fix it é
Buy a new cord and replace the old cord then you will not have a splice and it will look better.
Well i dont know how to repair them but you can get the warranty for 50% off another pair. http://www.skullcandy.com/warranty-information.html does that help?
