I stopped recieving direct TV through HDMI cables. Replace the cable, had direct tv replace the HD reciever, it worked for 4 hours then the same black screen "no signal". Works only with component cables. After researching, I stumbled across the term HDCP and am wondering, could direct tv have changed their HDCP requirements and thus I need to change my HDCP settings on my Sony TV? If so, how do I go about doing that.

SOURCE: Normal Picture Mode Not Available With Cox HD-DVR (Motorola DCH3416) and HDMI Cable
With an HDMI cable connected, the cable box determines the picture size. The settings on the cable box must be changed in order for you to get the correct picture size. I have some experience with Motorola cable boxes; usually to access the settings you turn the box OFF and then press the menu or settings button on the box to bring up the display menu. Hope this helps!

1.This issue sounds as though the TV connection circuit has an issue.
2. You have changed the DVR and the HDMI cables and you still have an issue with the video (pink screen) indicates a video circuit issue ( improper voltage or current) at the video section of the circuit.
3. This will require some troubleshooting by a qualified tech.
4. To make sure, try connecting another properly working LCD TV to the cable box or DVR an check. If you get a picture and sound properly it is the TV.
5. Usually a cable box is QA'd (quality assured) by the company and will not be sent unless tested 1st
SOURCE: hdmi port stopped working on sony bravia
I have a Sony Bravia model KDL-46s5100 that had the same problem. All HDMI ports stopped working. I don't know why this works but unplug the TV for about 30 sec, then plug it back in and hold down the power button on the tv for 10 seconds. Like I said I don't know why this works but it worked for me. Good luck.
