Dmr ez 28: code to play all codec fomats - Televison & Video

You will have no problem playing your non finalized discs on any of the Panasonic DMR range including the DMR EZ28 series. The DMR E55 can also easily be repaired if you can use a soldering iron and a little care. Please checkout my other postings for full repair details.

Does it show the "No disc" error message after attempting to read the disc for a while? If yes then its a confirmed case of dirty/damaged, lens/laser mechanism. You can attempt to clean the lens with a DVD lens cleaner which can be obtained for about 10-15$. Brandeed ones are recommended , particularly Sony. Once you obtain it, play it like you play any other DVD. Brushes will pop out from the disc cleaning the surface of the lens. Give it upto 5 runs and see if it reads the DVDs. If its just a dirty lens it should work. Let me know how things turned out
