This means that you have not set up any users in the address book in the printer.
Copy is simple, it will scan the document and print out a copy of the scanned image.
Scan however, is trying to make and store an image file of the scan, but it needs to know WHERE you want to scan it to. The printer does not know where to send the stored image unless you create a storage location for it. This is done with the address book that is stored on the printer.
The material below is how to set up the scanner settings of the printer.
Printer Settings Utility
Using the Printer Settings Utility window, you can set up the fax system data options, and create and edit Phonebook entries from your computer. You can also configure the destination launches when you access
Scan and then

I was able to get my printer to start printing. So that's no longer a problem. I'm using an ethernet connection. The problem I have now is that is says updating destination list failed. I can't enter a location to send the scan.
Joe,
I need to be able to scan the data and have it go to my computer scan list. I can then attach the scan to my email. Do you know how to add my computer as the destination?
sorry I'm not very good with computers. I think I understand how to enter the ip address in a browser, just don't know how to get the ip address for the pinter???
About once a month my comcast high speed internet connection fails and when I reset the modum my ethernet connected Ricoh Aficio 1515 MF cannot re-establish the connection to my computer. The Ricoh desplay says: "No destination is programmed for specified number."
IKON programmed the Ricoh to scan documents to a "scans" folder on my computer rather than to e-mail for client privancy reasons. When a document is scanned, I select the "ABC" button berore pressing "start." It worked fine for three years with Cox high speed internet access, but after I moved to another state about a year ago, this problem surfaced and IKON does not have a solution other than having the Ricoh technician with whom he communicates by phone take control of my computer and reprogram it.
are you printing thru USB or ethernet?
If network have you given the device and ip address
