Samsung galaxy incoming calls show as unknown number every time

Caller id is an extra feature on cell phones and it is not free. If someone is on your contact list and they are not showing up on the call screen, they could be blocking their number.

If you imported all your sim contacts &google contacts the phone might now hav some numbers duplicated or even tripled and then does not know which name to display when you receive a call from a number listed on multiple accounts. Go to your contacts & check all the boxes to display all possible contacts you hav- sim, google, phone, sd card, etc. Go through the list &try to take out all the numbers listed under more than one contact name! Even if it is the same name! It takes some time to sort out if you hav a lot of contacts, but that fixed my problem! Good luck!

you need to copy contacts from sim card to phone

Always happens. If there is no saved contact number there will show the number with 'Unknown' name. If you want to save the number with any name, then you might do that and after that if that number calls, it'll show the saved number.

Sometimes there are some incoming call that indicates only 'Unknown' with no number at all or '0000000000' that means callers have chose to hide ID or that is a VOIP call. Many operator permits to hide ID but not all.

my blackberry curve 8520 does not want to show the number if i receive incoming calls. it just say unknown number....please help

This is because you have stored a contect more then once (like in sim as well in phone memory) in few mobiles when you store one numer two times it says on call unknown number
only store a number once ok
