Ribbon fault error

The ribbon turns without difficulty. I may get a run or 20 or 200 or sometimes more -- it varies -- before the ribbon fault message appears. I do a clear, then resume the print job. Soon therafter the ribbon fault message apppears again. I am using Tally Genicom T62XX Ribbon Cartridges -- I believe they are good quality. I replaced the ribbon this moring -- not must usage on it. Printer Model 621. There are a fair number of loose "dots" from the 3 part forms that I am printing on. Could those contribute to the problem? Thanks for any assistance you can render.

SOURCE: Tally Genicom 2265+ printer not printing clearly.

In Dot Matrix Printers, the characters are made of tiny dots. The dots are created by impact on the ribbon by small pins.
Dot Matrix Printers generally prints one line of text at a time. Most dot matrix printers have a single vertical line of dot-making pins on their print heads.
So if one pin is damaged or missing, the print will have horizontal white lines. It might appear as a gap between top ad bottom halves of each character. Replacing the ribbon will not rectify this problem.
See whether you can get a replacement for the printer head.

What does eroor E6 Mean

The E6-F2 error code indicates a problem with the touchpad or the electronic oven control. E6-F2 specifically means the cancel key drive line is open. You can't cancel this error code, but sometimes removing the power from the oven and reconnecting it will cure it.This is usually a fault in the touchpad, but can also be caused by the electronic oven control. To test the oven you would need to remove the control panel and disconnect the ribbon connector from the touchpad to the oven control at the oven control. Clean the end of the ribbon and reconnect it. This will sometimes correct the problem by curing a weak connection. If the error code comes back you should replace the control panel which contains the touchpad. 8300427- black

8300428- white

8300516- biscuit

The part number for the electronic oven control is 8302319.

Sony bravia problems....intermittent fault. Colour turns psychedelic. Looks like TV is "on acid"!! Sometimes TV can run normally for several hours before the colour fault occurs.

You have a defective T-Con board. The small board near the top center of tv. Can not give you the part number without knowing your TV model. Depending on model $50-120 for part.

134 error

134 error is led head missing , the fault is either ( if your lucky) the k led ribbon cable has become unseated or the k ribbon pins are damaged (you can trim them with scissors.
Alternatively more often than not someone has nicked the led bar off and tried to put the cable back in without turning the printer off blowing the fuse on the maintenance board. The holders for that model are prone to cracking also.

Thick lines

Check the fusing unit and or transfer belt. Does it print OK not copy! Print Ok means internal OK then check the scanner section

I have a Tally 6212. I'm using non Tally ribbons which is producing a ribbon fault. I'm told by my ribbon supplier that there is an override to keep the ribbon from causing the fault. Can you...

If the ribbon is causing the Ribbon Fault, they would not be very well made compatables I would suggest changing to one of the other brands available. I belive the T6215 senses the ribbon turning by having a silver strip stuck on a rotating disk on the back of the ribbon, if this strip is not present or is not being detected it will display a Ribbon Fault. You can check the ribbon to ensure it has a reflective strip by manually winding the ribbon and looking at the back side of the ribbon, you should see a rotating disk which is half silver and half black. If this disk is not present the compatable ribbons would not be that compatable. The T6215 does to have a fault over ride for the Ribbon Sensor on its own, you can only over ride all faults this may cause other problems as Paper Out, Paper Motion errors are also overridden. You can enable fault override in the following way; Press and hold down LINE FEED and ENTER for about 5 seconds untill the printer bleeps. Press and Hold down FORM FEED and ENTER for about 5 seconds untill the printer bleeps. The above actions enabls Fault Over rides temporarily if the printer is powered off or reset Thai setting will be lost.

The oven is GE JKP15,about 10 years old. Error: F7 - Keeps beeping. Turned on brakers, but it starts beeping again when the braker is turned on.

this code means either a stuck control pad or a faulty control board/display board... one thing to try is turn power off again at breaker and run your hand over all the keys on the control panel firmly pressing each key sometimes you can luck out and free it up if that is the problem and reset power if it starts again you will have to gain access behind the control panel and unplug the ribbon cable to control panel.... if it stops after you unplug ribbon cable most likely it is a bad touch pad assembly if it continues you most likely have a stuck relay on the control board and will need to replace that... i have see the fault require both the touch pad and control board ,but hopefully this will help you ..i assure you it is one of the 2 problems ... g.e servicer for 18 years now and a common problem most of the time happens after a long cooking period or a self clean was preformed recently...
GOOD LUCK

What is the problem with the oven when it shows codes E6 F2

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

The error & fault code "E6 F2" is a keypad or keypad connector problem. However... the control board can also cause this fault. Sometimes you can clean the ribbon and connector at the control board attachment point and correct this.

There is a tech sheet inside the control panel (envelope) that has all of the error codes listed.

The control boad has a female connector with 2 release tabs for the ribbon. YOU MUST unlock the release tabs to remove the ribbon. This is a tedious process but if your gentle and take your time you can coax the ribbon out of the connector. The contact area of the ribbon is quite thin. I have found that you can place something non metalic and FLAT behind the ribbon and then use a tissue to gently clean the ribbon wiping in the same direction of the electrical runs on the ribbon. I.e. wipe from above the bitter end down to the bitter end. (one direction only) The female connector on the control board is much more forgiving. Once you complete the cleaning process press the ribbon back into the female connector and lock the 2 tabs.

If this does not correct the problem you can end up changing the control board (1st) and the touch pad (2nd) to fix it.

If you need help with locating parts just respond here and I will gladly assist you.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

A black line running verticall down the middle of

There is no invertor board on a plasma tv. The fault is the X address buffer board. This is located on the bottom of the screen and runs horizontally the whole width of the screen. If you remove the heatsink plate that covers the x address boards and you need to look at the screen ribbon at the same position as where the bar is (in the middle).Vary gently lift the Xbuffer ribbon lock and gently take out the ribbon.Clean the contacts very carefully with a fibre pen or an electrical cleaning fluid.Insert ribbon back and heatsink and check. Here is a picture of the board and ribbon

a 1 inch bar is associates with 1 ribbon fault. So if the bar was 3 inches in from the left of the screen, the faulty ribbon will be 3 inches in from the right working from behind the TV. If cleaning dont cure the fault, then the Buffer IC will be blown and order a new centre buffer board (you can buy off Ebay)

15 Volt CTL fail

Hi Serap,

If a fault condition occurs in the printer, the status indicator on the control panel flashes on and off, and the message display indicates the specific fault.

For the operator-correctable faults, After correcting the displayed fault, press the CLEAR key to clear the error message and status indicator and resume printing. If the fault message reappears, contact your authorized service representative.
If a fault is not correctable by the operator, you may try two steps to clear the fault before calling your authorized service representative:

1. Set the printer power switch to O (Off), wait 15 seconds, then turn the printer on again. Run your print job again. If the message does not appear, it was a false indication and no further attention is required.

2. If the message reappears, press the CLEAR key. If the message disappears, it was a false indication and no further attention is required. If the message reappears, call your authorized service representative at 1-800-243-3338.

Message Explanation Action 15V CTL FAIL* Controller voltage failure. Contact authorized service representative.

As far as software for the flash file is concerned , I have checked with their officaial sites , but they donot have any firmware updates.

Thanks
