How to reset factory settings of samsung sync master710v

FIXED : Before you start your legacy game, software where the "Recommanded Mode 1280 x 1024 60Hz" keeps showing, change your display FROM VIDEO CARD DISPLAY control application to 1024x768 or your choice.

My Syncmaster 2233 had same problem of "Not optimum mode" box coming on whenever I started any old game like Age of Empires etc. It got fixed by selecting FROM DISPLAY CARD DRIVER CONTROL UTILITY's (mine from Catalyst Control Center) >Set desktop area to > 1024 x 768 in my case BEFORE STARTING old application/game. Switch back to your normal resolution after you are done with this application.

reset your computer and press F8 F8 immedeatly and keep pressing untill menu appears .then highlight on enable vga mode and press enter your problem will be solved thenk you

You need to install the driver for your samsung sync master 2033, so the the graphics will improve or updated.

To term in the computer is the refresh rate of the monitor. Depending on the operating system it is done a couple different ways.

Right mouse click on the desktop and choose properties or personalize (depending on your OS). In windows xp click on the last tab to change the resolution. Click on apply then click on advanced, the monitor tab, to change the refresh rate.

In Vista, click on Display Settings to be able to do the above.

See if you can pull up the menu on your monitor. If you can reset it to factory defaults.

If you still can't see the screen properly then you need to on your computer. Go into the device manager and make sure its seeing your video card properly. Look underneath display adapters and be sure its seeing something other then standard display vga.

If not then your display adapters are missing so once you install those, the computer will recognize your monitor.

Hello. That message appears when the video signal from the computer exceeds the monitor's ability to display it. If the sync is set too high(i.e. max sync on the monitor is 60 Hertz at that resolution), you will get that message. Check the video settings in control panel--("appearance and themes" in XP), go to the "advanced" tab and look at the refresh rate. Most computer video cards are able to far exceed a monitor's display ability. Don't exceed 60 Hertz--check the users guide for specs--the lower resolutions can have higher refresh rates(useful in games) Sometimes, a little lower video quality can yield a big performance difference in the display because the screen can update itself faster. try running your OS on safe mode then reconfigure your monitor on the display settings and adjust the screen resolution to sync your monitor with your video card.

I had this same problem on 3 Samsung 710N displays and this fixed the problem.

I have read others have also been successful but the value of theresistor was slightly different in some cases. I would start with 50ohms as that seems to be a common value fixing most displays.

This LCD can work at 75 Hz refresh rate, btw much more healthy for your eyes, you can change it accessing Control Panel -> Display -> settings -> Advanced -> Monitor -> Screen Refresh Rate -> select 75 Hz.
