Maytag HAV2360AWW will not start

My washer filled with water and now wont do anything. I check for lid problems and that is not it. The water wont drain and when I pull the nob out to start it it sounds like power is running to it but nothing is happening. I plugged my dryer into the outlet to see if that was the problem and my dryer works fine. I tried running it on regular, delicate and wrinkle free settings and it didnt work on any of them. I tried running it on the spin, rinse, and fill cyles and nothing happens. Any ideas?

    I have an SAV2655AWW.

I just started a wash cycle and the water level filled to the normal fill point and it stopped. Then everything stopped.

No sound on any dial position. Tried opening and closing lid. Checked power circuit with volt/ohmn meter and voltage is normal.

Does the lid switch have a fuse on this model?

Do you think it's the timer?

    Thanks,

    Richard

Same as above only when I plug the power cord into the wall and pull of the knob to operate the washer, I smell this electrical burning odor.

    Any ideas?

Hi, I have a maytag washer #HAV3460AWW. Not sure if you have the same one. But when I had my warranty did have a tech come out as it filled but stopped doing it's thing. If you open the panel there is a tube runnign along the side ..that comes loose alot w/off balance spinning. The tech tightened the clamp and it worked!

Maytag Atlantis MAV6451 - The machine buzzed and stopped. Now it wont run. Dont think its the lid switch

does it fill with water?
Does it not do anything after it fills?
If this is the case than it is most definitely the lid switch.
I recently had the exact same problem. Easy fix if you are handy.
Remove back of control panel to access the mounting screws. this will give you hand access to the lid switch. Try manually activating it after letting it fill. Replace switch or repair if able.
Good luck

Washer will not fill with water

Check the lid switch...this controls all power to the machine and if the lid isn't closed, it can interrupt the water fill even with the lid appearing to be closed. Press firmly on the center of the lid when it's closed. Sometimes the lids on these maytags get tweaked a little and then don't allow full contact with the switch... Let me know ..

Washer won't agitate, drain or spin

it only has one block fuse and should be located somewhere close to where the power cord comes into the washer. Go here www.repairclinic.com/SSPartDetail.aspx?s=t-LSE7806A-%3d%3di435797&PartID=435797 this is what you need to check.

MY WASHER FILLED UP WITH WATER, BUT THEN IT JUST QUIT WORKING.

I believe it is your lid switch. I have replaced 3 this week. If you get me the model number i can tell you for sure. Another thing that caused this is the motor to go bad. Do you smell a burning smell when it is trying to run after the fill up? If not get me the model number and i will get you the part number for the lid switch.

Washer fills wont agitate or spin

supposed to be a problem only with water level switch.

hhhmmmnnn...

try checking the hose that goes from the bottom end to the pressure switch. if there is a hole or a crack or anything loose on the connection. if the pressure won't build up on the water level switch, it wont transfer the contacts to start agitating.

test the water level switch by pulling the hose from the drum end and blow unto it until you hear a click on the water level switch. this should turn your agitator so please be careful and watch out for parts moving rapidly.

tnx 4 using fixya,

The Maytag top loader washer MAV7750BGW started to fill at the beginning of the washing cycle then stopped. Could not get it to do anything on any other cycle steps. Electrical supply OK. Managed to get...

It sounds like you have a lid switch problem. Check your the lid on your washer and see if it's not bent towards the middle. Often as things get sat on top, it will bend and not allow the switch to make contact. The washer doesn't do anything but fill when the machine thinks the lid is open. Try bending the middle of the lid back to where it is straight.
