Anyone else have a Amana refrigerator AFD2535FES develop a refrigerant leak in the sealed cabinet?

After 3 1/2 years our Amana refrigerator died -- repairman found low refrigerant, recharged with added dye (to help locate leaks). Lasted 5 months, and refrigerant leaked out again. Repairman cannot find a leak anywhere on the visible components of the system, so says it must be leaking somewhere on the line where it is permanently encased in the sealed cabinet, and thus cannot be repaired. Has anyone else seen this happen to this model, because if so, I may try to organize a class action lawsuit for Amana selling a product with a latent defect. This unit is getting horrible reviews on a popular online sales company (named after a large tropical river).

You can seal off those lines going around the door that's called the Yoder Loop. but as far as the class action lawsuit or getting Amana or Whirlpool to pay for the anything good luck. There are very few success stories there.

Amana AFD2535FES makes loud buzzing noise

When a start relay and the coil that opens the water for the ice maker or the water dispenser begin to weaken they some times buzz. Its possible you will need to either replace the=> 67003753 Water Inlet Valve

Fans and compressor are running but is not cooling. 5 years old. evaporator coils are not getting cold

Good day,
If both fans are running as well as the compressor, then it is one of these possibilities. Either the system has leaked all of the refrigerant out, or the system has an internal restriction, or lastly the compressor has failed internally with a bad valve ect.
All of the above items will require the attention of a qualified tech who has the proper tools and equipment to determine your problem.

Note: If the machine is under 5 years of age, then the factory warranty would be in effect. You would have to call the selling or servicing dealer to have it corrected, but it would be free.

Internal water dispenser stopped working

I lowered the temp on the freezer to 4 overnight, by morning water dispenser is working fine. I think that when we changed the temp to 7 (in order to make more ice ) it froze the water pipe going to the dispenser. I am going to keep both fridge and freezer at 5 ,and hope this will not happen again.

Bottom freezer not staying cold

One of two things. When you open the freezer drawer, do you hear a fan running? If not, that's the problem. The Evaporator fan. Its' job is to circulate cold air throughout the entire cabinet. Without it, things get toasty. If not the Evap Fan, it'll be the sealed system... meaning that it's developed a leak and freon is escaping (not harmful for you or your Family). If it's just under 5 years old, this will be a warranty repair. Over 5? Bad news... it'll cost ALOT to have it repaired.

Amana bottom freezer refrigerator

could be the cause. check by putting a slip of paper between seal and cabinet and with door shut, check paper is gripped all round the door. if it is not, try warming the seal with a hairdryer in the faulty place and pulling the seal out gently. many of these seals are foamed in and impossible or v dificult to replace. check also that the hinges are not worn
