I have an HP all-in-one C6180 with a duplexor fitted that doesn't work in Win 7 32bit

I have an HP all-in-one C6180 with a duplexor fitted. I could print double sided under Wimdows XP but have now upgraded to Windows 7 32-bit. I have installed the latest drivers for the C6180 from the HP site. I cannot print double sided because in Printer Properties > Device Settings > Installable Options the "Duplex unit for 2-sided printing" option is not available for Install. Can you please provide a patch or the latest driver with the Install option enabled please. Regards, John Seager [email protected]

HP C6180 wont print magenta

I entered the terms C6180 HP magenta into Google and got over 300,000 search results. This would appear to be a common problem with this and similar HP printers.

One source of problems is HP's tactics to prevent you from using other manufacturers ink cartridges. If the printer is still under warranty, send it back to HP quick. If you can get your money back, that is probably a good idea. If your cartridges are non-HP your warranty may be void.

The entire industry is based on dirt cheap printers with expensive print cartridges. This has been the industry norm for twenty years or so. The printer cartridges include the little nozzles that spray the ink on the paper. They can't be repaired and if they are defective you should ask for a refund.

You might exchange the printer for another one and you may never have another problem but note that caveat emptor applies and your mileage may vary.

Personally, I'd check consumer reports or other online review sites before buying another printer ... but I have at least six crapped out printers I can't bear to throw out!

Good luck!

I have an HP Photosmart C6180 All-in-One and when I updated my browser to 9 the printer started shutting off and on but it doesn't come up completely then shuts off and cycles again. I restored my...

@msat538,
I believe your printer problems are unrelated to your browser update. You likely have a few failed capacitors on your printer's logic board. I have a HP C6180 all in one printer that started displaying an ink system failure message. Eventually it powered off then on by iteslf every 15 seconds or so, making the printer unusable. Take the logic board cover off (on the C6180 is is on the right end of the printer), remove the logic board and look for failed capacitors (they will be puffed on the top (see image). If this is the case, you will have to have them replaced (easily done with a soldering pen). The replacement parts are inexpensive (less than $1.00) I hope this helps.

Como resolver o problema da HP Photosmart C6180 com erro 0xc19a0002. Obrigado Joao

Hello,

in the case of error, the first thing to do is to reset the printer. Follow the below steps to reset the printer:

Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.
Remove the cartridges from the product.
Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
Wait 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button.
Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.
If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.

Or, completely uninstall the printer from the system, re-install it, then try again. I hope you have the printer's software.

First, go to Start > control panel > printers.

Right click on each printer icon you see, scroll to delete and click. Make sure all the printer there are deleted.

Go back to control panel, click on program and features (for windows vista/7) or Add/Remove Programs (win xp).

Disconnect the printer cord from the computer.

Uninstall every driver/software that is associated with the printer.

Restart your computer.

After your computer has been restarted, install the printer driver afresh and connect the printer to the computer.

If this doesn't solve the problem, you will have to download Hp diagnostic utility on your your computer, install is on your computer and it will help to detect and solve the problem.

Visit the hp link below, read all the information on the page and download the diagnostic tool from the page.

I have installed HP 1220c printer on windows 7 in several ways. Printer seems istalled OK, when I try to print test page or other, the printer doesn't react. Although the print appears and dissapears...

Unistall any previous you have installed for your device.

The Driver for Your Product Is Included in the Windows 7 Operating System (i.e. Win 7-32bit & 64bit).
Simply connect the printer to your computer with a USB cable, and Windows Update automatically installs the driver for your product.

Hope it helps.

HI can a larger ink cartridge be fitted to the HP C6180 printer

Unfortunately, no. There is only the 4.5 ml cartridges will fit in the holder, unless there is some system out there I don't know about. Here is a site that has various cartridges, and some seem to have a higher yield.
