Dryer stopped working

Our dryer was in mid cycle, when there was loud pop or bang. The dryer stopped immediately and tripped the circuit that the dryer is on.

When the dryer stopped after the noise, there was a burning, ozone smell.

The dryer belt seems intact.

It is a Kemore front load, model # 417.83142300

Crosley Electric dryer stopped in mid cycle and will not start

if the machine is completly dead an not doing anything locate your fuse panel ,check your fuses for the dryer ,if you can find wich one is it reset the breakers again you probably popped one of the 2 lines since you need 2 for a 220v.

good luck!

It stopped mid-cycle..no warning, and wouldn't start again.

Unplug your dryer for ten min. This will reset the circuit board and reboot the system. Sometime small power surges can disrupt the curcuit and cause the unit to get confused. Rebooting usually will fix this type of problem with surges.

Works on all cycles except that on the Automatic dry Miser setting the dryer stops mid cycle. All other cycles work fine and run through the complete cycle.

Inside the drum is 2 long metal trips that measure capacitance in the clothes as they get dryer. Sometimmes liquid fabric softener gets on them and stops the process. Wipe them off. They are right on the filter housing inside just below the filter.

Your dryer doesnt have a fuse. Your home breaker panel is the only protection it has..Check your circuit breaker box for a tripped breaker.
