Wash starts it fills with water then stops and wont wash

You fill your machine with items to be washed. turn to the desired setting and press start button. Water enters the drum and machine makes normal starting noises. After minute or so the machine stops with the normal lights displayed and nothing happens. It stays at the wash cycle. Can anyone help me with this problem please. I have tried re-starting the program and then re-starting another program, turning it off and on at the mains and have checked to make sure all the water lines are not squashed and also tried to wash with an empty drum with no success regards

Problem may just be that drum is not turning so you think program is stopped. try cancelling and select spin program and see if you get spin

as an ewasy first step, check motor brushes that is often the source of the problem

My washing machine won't fill on cold wash??

The cold water solenoid valve went out. Be sure the cold water valve is turned wide open.

When I start the washer cycle on any cycle, it does nothing, doesn't fill, doesn't sound like its even moving. Dryer works fine. I checked power and I seen to have power coming out of thermocouple.

when washing machine is started ( after applying the wash settings as to water fill , load size rinse etc) the first action is to turn on the water tap solenoid
from there the water fills to the set level at which time the pressure switch turns of the water solenoid and switches on the motor to start the wash
following that line of procedure , if you do not get water flowing after pressing start, the problem is in the water control solenoid , tap turned off or problem in the program board
Call in a technician after checking the other items first

Hi, my simpson eziset 950 when filling with water doesn't stop filling when the cycle starts. Water overflows all through the washing cycle. When I turn the tap of it stops filling.

there is a small tube running from the bottom of the tub up to a pressure switch in the control panel that is set by what ever wash level you want
when the pressure in that tube exceeds the pressure set by the knob it does 2 things
it turns off the inlet water solenoid to stop water coming in and then starts the wash cycle
as it is starting the wash cycle , it indicates that the stop solenoid for the water inlet is either still getting power or the stop valve is faulty
try replacing that water control valve first

Sometimes water won't flow on certain timer settings. And sometimes starts, then stops.

i would go heavy on the deoxit D5
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=deoxit+D5&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&gws_rd=cr&ei=IhJAVZevEILsat3agcAD

i think your timer control switch
has carbonized contacts...

so perhaps the contactors are blasted a bit

either this or look for a new program control

LG Turbodrum DD 8.5kg WT-R852 washing machine, will not completely fill with water to water, to initiate the wash cycle, wash process stops there.

THE WASHER IS OBVIOUSLY HAVING A PROBLEM DETECTING THE WATER LEVEL? IT DETECTS AS FULL WHEN ITS NOT AND THEN GOES INTO DRAIN CYCLE? THE FILLS AGAIN? I would suspect the water pressure switch but if it was detecting a full cycle it would sent it into wash cycle? the water inlet valve only allows the amount of water it is told to send in and does not control the amount or drain cycle. Im not sure here but Im thinking maybe the water level switch may be flawed, the one that has low-medium and high? all these can be checked with a multimeter

Lg tromm manual

Problem is too much soap. Wrong soap. Press and hold: SPIN SPEED & SOIL LEVEL buttons--then press POWER button.
Wait for door to lock.

Press the START button (6) times--this will fill the tub with hot water to the maximum setting when it stops filling.

Press the START button two more times--this will enable the tub to tumble.
After 3 hours--turn "off" the washer.
Turn the washer back "on".
Select the shortest wash cycle (usually "quick wash") and press "START". This will rinse out the tub.

Washing machine wont hold water on any setting

raise the main drain hose to the top of the back control head. there may be a problem with the main hose being to low and the water is gravity siphoning out of the washer.make sure the washer is off when you lift the hose up but do not remove it from the wall, you should here water drain out once it has stopped draining restart you machine and it should fill to the proper level and quit then go into your wash cycle

Agitator starts at begining of cycle before washer is full

Please be carful as running the agitator without enough water will overheat and kick out the motor, however it should be ok when it resets itself.
Yes, the machine should stop agitating when you lift the lid so this too is part of the problem.
After looking at the print I can only suggest that the cam contacts in the timer ( contacts 12 and 14) that start the motor are burned and stuck together.
