Check the unbalance sensor, or inertial switch, it should be N.C., or normally closed, giving a "balanced" signal back to the control board. My unit had no continuity even when there was no out of balance, or severe shaking. If you have a voltmeter this can be tested by disconnecting the wires to the sensor and setting the meter to Ohms, it should be very low, 0-5 ohms. If it is higher than this the contacts are bad. I fixed mine by running a small electrical load through the switch, a 100 watt light bulb, with power cord that I rigged up. I shook the sensor several times until the lightbulb had power when the switch was still. This "cleaned" the contacts by running the 100 watts of power through the contacts and creating a spark. Or you could jumper the wires together and see if the unbalance condition goes away; if so, replace the switch.
