Whirlpool cabrio W10280475A wont drain & spin....either skips this cycle and unlocks the lid or flashes with time left and lid locked...please help

oL is an Overload error. Try running a cycle empty.

If oL (overloaded) appears in display, the load too large. If an overload is detected, the washer will drain any water and detergent in the washer. Remove several items and add HE detergent. Close lid and press START/PAUSE.

I would say that the lock has failed. Either the lock itself or maybe the pin or latch that fits into it when you close the door may have cracked / broken. If the machine thinks the door / lid is still open, it wont let you start it.

It is overload error.

Is the washer overloaded? The washer has attempted to fill •

it sounds like the water pump is not emptying properly, blow down the water outlet pipe to see if is clear if not go to the water pump and clean it out there is probably a button , paper clip or other debris preventing it from doing its job eric

try any button sequences yet . try holding start button and a cycle button hold both down to reset

Look for an article of clothing between the basket and tub.

Does the lid lock when it gets to the drain cycle? If not then you need a new locking mechanism. The tab in the mechanism breaks off and it tries to lock the lid but cant. If it hums when it gets to the drain cycle, you have something caught in the pump or a bad pump

I had the power button off so no lights were lit. I also tried it in teh done mode. None of the buttons put it into self test.

My issue with spinning is it will not complete the spin cycle and the lid lock light flashes leaving water in the tub. If I out the machine on drin and spin it will remove most of the water
I also tried the soil level temp keydance to check the console self test and it would not go into that mode either.
