I just received a K45 mixer without a manual so I don't know much about how it works. In trying it for the first time, I found out that the attachments aren't reaching the bottom of the bowl, and I can't figure out how to lower them.
Lower the bowl to access a small screw located at the top of the center stand take a small straight blade screw driver and adjust it clockwise to
raise the bowl & counter clock wise to lower the bowl use the straight beater to check the clearance. It should not make contact with the bowl. Hope this helps -Jim D.

This is the FAQ from the Kitchen Aid website. It explains very well how to make the necessary adjustments under the question: My flat beater, wire whip and dough hook are scraping against the bottom of the bowl when I use my mixer. How can I fix this?
