Time Warner has about 8 different remotes. I have the UR3-EXP remote and the Emerson code 096 worked for me.
SOURCE: Dynex 37" LCD TV bad color
You have a bad LCD control board going bad,Color getting floresent? Or pixely? esp. when you have it on for a bit. Common prop. But finding parts is a prob.
They are no longer in buis. Try Shop Jimmy,or even Ebay. Encompass does not have any. Runs about 40-60.
SOURCE: need code for Dynex/DX-l42-10A for Dish Network
I know you've probably figured this out by now, since you posted last May, but I figured I would post the solution, since I just found it, and someone else may want to know.
I bought one of these sets the day after Christmas 2009, and finally figured out the code that works with the Dish Network 5.4 IR remote.
I did a Code Scan, and found that the code that works is 721. In the Dish Network listing, this is listed as the third code for Sansui.
Hope someone finds this useful, even if it's too late for you.
SOURCE: Dynex DX-LCD37: Missing cable channels caused by bad tv tuners?
That "Tech" is full of hot air, I have never heard of such rubbish!
http://www.hdtvreview.com/pdf/dynex-dx-lcd37-09-02-manual.pdf
Above is your manual. have a look for your self. Now IF you can do Picture in Picture, then technically, there are TWO tuners, BUT one cannot work, and the other not, I do NOT know what that Tech is on about I suspect he is BSing you... If channels are Blocked, then it is maybe something wrong with the cable, or the strength of the signal, or something else, But there are NO "Tuners" that are going faulty, this is NOT how a TV receiver works.
Does this Dynex model have multiple tuners: NO
If so, can they go bad : Yes, as could any electronic bit. maybe the ONLY tuner has faulted, but I don't think so. Tuners usually work, or don't. but still may pay to take to a professional and ask them to check the tuner?
Are the tuners replaceable: YES.
will the rest of the tuners eventually go out and I will end up replacing the TV:. NO, well depending if there is any fault, maybe.
Again I have never heard such BS, EVER.
