Canon Digital Cameras do not fully reset when the battery is removed. Even removing the little lithium clock battery will not reset the camera. In the menu, on the next to last column (the third wrench) you will find an option to reset the user settings and to reset the custom settings. This is the only way to return the camera to factory default.

Remove the battery for 15 mins, replace the battery and the camera will be set to the default settings. Go to the camera's Menu setting and set the Date & Time.

My canon 550 d camera lens dose not zoom autormatically

a 550D is a detachable lens camera and will not auto-zoom (it has a rubber ring that you turn to accomplish this with most lenses). are you sure you have an EOS 550D, or did you mean auto-focus?

I have canon rebel t2i,just got it few days ago,it was working fine, but now it wont take pictures,it shows busy sign,sd card has space, batery is full,I reseted camera to roiginal setting still nothing...

check your memory card your using witht he camera. 550d is memory hungry and needs a high speed DSLR grade card such as the sandisk ultra 2 or extreme cards. or lexar professional series. sounds like you may have a faulty card or a card thats designed more for compact cameras and mp3 players

Whats the difference between Canon EOAS 550D /Rebel / non rebel? Which is better camera?

Identical Canon models are sometimes marketed under different names in different parts of the world. Rebel cameras are known in America and EOS cameras are known in Europe. For example the EOS 550D is called Rebel T2i in America. They are in fact the same camera they just don't have the same name.

My Canon 550d is new and right out of the box on full auto indoor pics are dark. If I go to no flash mode they are much brighter. It's like the flash is out of sync. Is it the camera or me?

the flash only covers a certain range and the built in flash has quite a small range. so lets say its dark in the room and you take a shot of a person they probably look really bright but the background is pretty dark, thats pretty normal and its better not to use flash, now in the auto mode without flash it will be using a higher "ISO" number to get you brighter shots indoors. shots may look slightly grainer but it means its brighter and the 550d handles low light pretty well.

in auto mode you have no control over the ISO but put the camera into P mode which is basically auto but with access to more controls which you can override. now next to the shutter button there is an "ISO"button. experiment with the different numbered setting (100 being low 3200 being high) and you will see what I mean
