You need to go to your carrier (Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, etc) and tell them what you want. I say this because my carrier kept turning my voice mail back on each month, until I called.

1st thing you do is set the ringing tone volume to maximum on your default or daily use profile. 2nd record a message with some very light background music {Hello, I am mobile and to let my master answer you, you must keep on ringing at least for two minutes. thank you} and set this message (or any other message to this effect)as caller tune, so as soon as some one calls you, he gets this message and keep on ringing. 3rd there is a call divert feature in your phone which diverts your call to voice mail under the conditions set by you, so you may change that or totally disable the feature which ever suits you. I suppose this will help you to solve your problem.

My phone only rings 5 times before the answer function takes over. Is it possible to increase the number of rings?

The number of rings before your answring message picks up the call is controlled by your cellphone service provider. call in to your voice mail and then follow the instructions about going to options and setting. There should be a setting in there for the amount of rings to wait before answering the phone.

How to extend the rintone length on my binatone 2210 it is far too short. when it rings I can't get to in time it only rings about 3 times, and the person thinks i am not there.

When it stops ringing, the caller goes to your voice mail, right?

If so, then you need to contact your phone company and have them change your "Ring Cycle" -- that's the number of rings before the voice mail system picks up.

Some phone companies have a way for you to do this yourself from their website, other require that you call up the customer service line. Either way, the thing you want to adjust is your voice mail ring cycle.

My phone only rings for 15sec and stops where do i have to change the ringing time

You have to dial a code into the phone and press send, it changes the ring time with t-mobile. Here are the instructions, key part is what number you choose to put in the ( ), (10) (15) (30), etc. You seem to be at (15) right now.

try this from your phone to extend the ring time
dial **61*18056377243**(5-10-15-30)# send

again, the numbers in() represent the amount of time you want the phone to ring before going to voice mail. this can only be done with t-mobile2_bing.gif

I have a motorola V186 cell phone. When I dial a number, if no one answers after 7 rings, the phone automatically cuts out and says 'no answer', then I have to dial again. My mom is just about deaf and I...

You are lucky to get 7 rings out of any cell phone.
Cell carriers limit the rings permitted to keep the traffic down. If you call another cell, it goes to voice mail. A landline just stops ringing.

Extending Ring Time

You can try the steps below:

A) The simplest method is to call your carrier and request a longer ring time, up to 30 seconds.
B) If you have a GSM based phone, some have had success by dialing this number from your phone: **61*XXXXXXXXXXX**30#
  • Replace XXXXXXXXXXX with the number of your carrier voice mail center (find it by looking at your Phone Dialer > Options > VoiceMail > Access Number. Put your access number in place of the Xs above.
For example, the T-Mobile voice mail access number is 18056377243, and thus the string to dial would be **61*18056377243**30#
  • Replace the 30 at the end of the string with your desired seconds. For most carriers, 30 seconds is the longest allowed.
  • NOTE: Has been reported this doesn't work for Rogers (8700r) . 6/17/2005. Morser

Extending number of rings before voice mail engages

Is the caller being transfered to the ext or is it on incoming calls?

Message Greeting

The KX-T7456 is a proprietary system phone. You have a Panasonic phone system and a voice mail, both separate items with their own part number. Your phone can work on several different systems and use different voice mail so your first step is to determine the part numbers from the system and voice mail. Then you will need a "programming" manual or possibly "administrator's manual" NOT a "user guide" for at least your voice mail and maybe for the system as well.
